Does anyone know of a link between chronic (neuro) lyme and RSD? Some Doctors, speaking off the record but who have treated/have family members with disease, report a remarkable neurologic sensitivity for patients with a history of neuro or chronic lyme; they note their patients seem to have an almost pre-loaded neuro system that quickly - and dramatically - unravels.
My personal experience demonstrates this link - and I am looking for any/all info that addresses RSD treatment for patients with a long history of lyme disease. Also - could this be a lyme relapse?

Hi Patty,
I am posting a link here for you: www.hopeforjessica.blogspot.com This young woman has Lyme/RSD and is undergoing a treatment of induced coma to re-set the brain.
The best Dr. for RSD is in Tampa, Fl. I *think* that his information is listed on the links to the right of blog.
Best, Feelfit

Also Dr. Schwartzman in Philly who just did a paper on CRPS published in Nov 09. I have it in my left arm supposedly and have had Lyme for we think 20 years. I don't know which is worse. Jessica is the first to have the 5 day coma in Mexico that has full body RSD and lyme. She is rare as she did not have an injury that started this process. If you have any questions just PM me.

I will investigate the paper - this is my second episode with rsd - first my back (L5/S1 injury 1 1/2 years ago) and 9 weeks ago (ankle fracture with multiple sprains), all due to injuries.I have some info on repeat rsd and lyme patients. Will pass any recomendations - so far, no magic cures. Just pain, time and persistance
