You would have to wear a water proof cover like in the shower. I have one from drypro. It works well keeping water out but I have to be careful because it makes my arm sweat.
Sweat is probably your biggest problem with using the hot tub. Your arm will get warm under the dressing. The dressing will get wet. Warm and moist is perfect breeding ground for opportunistic infections.
I guess I wouldn't risk using a hot tub or sauna. Unless maybe you just dip your feet in and keep the rest of your body cool somehow.

I had a port so it wasn't the same thing, but my doctor told me that when the needle was accessed, no hot tubs and no saunas even if it is covered.
It was more about the sweat factor. We really have be overly cautious on this one.
Perhaps it is slightly different with a picc, but I wouold confirm with your doctor first.

I use my steam shower and jacuzzi tub.
In the summer, just from being outside, my husband and son sweated like crazy under their PICC dressings. Sometimes we did extra dressing changes.
My 20 year old is a firefighter. He spent all day Monday fighting a fire, including inside the house until they pulled them all out as the house was about to collapse. I was worried his PICC would melt. The LLD was not concerned!
I'm thinking if you can go into a burning building and fight a fire, you can probably go in a hottub...just keep your arm out of the water.
