I'm newly diagnosed with Babesia and Bartonella along with Lyme. My new treatment is Zithromax/Plaquenil/Mepron. What can I expect?

I felt the same until about day 24, then felt significantly worse. I had that kind of schedule, but felt slightly better after each "worse". -------------------- sixgoofykids.blogspot.com

Lyme/babs/bart/ehrl-started w/doxy, switched for 6 months to biaxin/ceftin/mepron/diflucan. Was on Plaquenil for 6 weeks-too many side fx. Saw Dr yesterday- feels babs is mostly gone so switched to flagyl/mino combo. Meprons expensive but stick w/it. Diflucan is a cyst buster and also good for yeast control but only take 4xweekly. Don't know about Zith but I think you're on the right track.

Well, it's kinda the same as any other protocol for Lyme... you're gonna feel like C&$#! Most on mepron go easy at first... hope your dr is doing that for you. Keep in touch with us here, so we can help you through it. You may not herx until the first 3-5 wk point, but may herx around the 4th day too. You're on some effective meds!! -------------------- --Lymetutu-- Opinions, not medical advice!

Thanks for your feedback. I'll post my progress, so far I have all my symptoms still. Any idea when the "fog" will clear up it's debilitating. I was on Doxy and Cefzil before beginning the new abx.

While you're herxing, the fog will most likely persist. You never know which symptoms will leave first. It's a guessing game. -------------------- --Lymetutu-- Opinions, not medical advice!
