I just started taking humaworm, but then I noticed that the formula includes laxative herbs - senna and cascara. I know these are not safe to take longterm, and a month seems pretty longterm to me.
Has anyone heard anything about the saftey of humaworm?

I have wondered the same thing about those herbs. I did humaworm last year but only for about 6 days.
My ND feels if you lean at all towards constipation, using those herbs for a long period of time could make your colon dependent on them.
Not sure really - someone else will come along.

I used Cascara for about 2-3 months and I used Senna for about 5 months. I was able to wean off of them by using a non-addictive herbals laxative along with magnesium oxide in place.

We found out that if you take senna over time, it turns the colon a dark color. It's not harmful, and reversible once you stop. However, it makes it harder to see any potential tumor growth if you're having a colonoscopy. May not be at all relevant to you, but good to know...

In many cases it is NOT reversible.
I wouldn't use it for more than a month.
