I'm not taking antibiotics any more, but I am taking:
freeze dried garlic and c-salt.
Is it important to take milk thistle even though
im not using antibiotics?

- Absolutely.
The liver is still asked to do a tremendous amount dealing with the infection and clearing. The liver also is often damaged by lyme and it has been and continues to be stressed by the various treatments along the way (even with garlic, it's a lot for the body to attend to if die-off toxins are floating around).
It takes a long time for the liver to regain lost ground. Sometimes, healing is possible but not always so it's important to learn how one might compensate for a "fatty liver" or scared liver.
Garlic is easier on the liver than abx but, still, your liver needs all the tender loving care you can give every minute.
There are other good liver support supplements, too. If you have a LL ND (naturopathic doctor ) or other doctor who is educated regarding supplements and also LL - you might ask their advice.

- Diane,
You're off the hook - while editing, most of my links disappeared. that happens a lot. Too tired to reconstruct.
However, please don't rely just on posts here or you will miss a great deal of what is important. If you have trouble reading, perhaps you can find a good friend to read with you.
I can only post names of authors now but may come back with links later.
It's really important to have read Burrascano's guidelines - in it are four pages of Nutritional supplements listed - and advice on self-care and gentle but effective exercise.
Singleton's book. Books by Buhner and Zhang.
These are the basics to compare and contrast. Then go to Klinghardt's work - he generously posts at his site.
This is still just a start but so very important as each author has a great deal to teach us.
Good luck. -
