I sort of stumbled on to the lyme disease thing. i have been suffering forever, or at least it feels like it. read the ld symptoms list and i cried. i was beginning to get convinced that this was indeed in my head. i was diagnosed w/fibromyalgia 12 years ago. the last year has been absolutely miserable. last dr. told me i was gluten sesitive. gf since nov. no change really. i have many questions. can your kids have gotten this inutero? san you have ld without knowing you've been bitten? i was looking around the web and i saw a picture of an engorged tick and my memory flashed back to first grade when i pulled one off my head. could i have had this 30+ years? please help.

Yes, to all your questions.

I had this over 30 years before diagnosis. The good news is, I'm fine today. Post in seeking doctor to find an LLMD (lyme-literate MD) near you.

I was misdiagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia for twenty years.

I'm also gluten sensitive and have been gluten free for four years.

I never saw a tick and never had a bullseye rash.

Don't be shy. We are here to help!! [group hug]

And another "yes." I had lyme disease and coinfections for over 25 years before diagnosis last year.

I basically "stumbled upon" the lyme thing, like you. Thank God that I did.

I agree with the others that you should get to an LLMD.

I can relate to the tears of relief, frustration, and even grief when I finally learned why my whole life had been so full of illness and pain - things noone could "figure out."

You're in the right place to find lots of information that you will need to know.

Julie
