Is it possible to treat one at a time? If so, what are the pros and cons to doing that?

The best method is to treat one coinfection plus Lyme at the same time. Very hard to treat Lyme and babs and bart all at once for 2 reasons -- many of the meds can't be combined plus the herxes could be very very bad.

A lot depends on which coinfections you have. There is some overlap in meds, but some require very specific meds.

We are waiting on our blood test results to come back for co-infection testing. Lyme confirmed 3 months ago but no additional testing was done.

Had first LLMD appt last Thursday and was given a clinical diagnosis for Bart and prescriptions for 3 abx and 2 for thyoid.
I really didn't expect 3 abx at one time.

I guess I didn't word my question correctly....can Lyme be treated first and then go to work on Bart? Sorry I should have worded my question differently.

Some antibiotics like Doxy can work on lyme and bart.

Dr. J in CT has treated lyme, bart and babs at the same time with all 3 of my children. They have made much improvement since starting treatment 1.5 years ago. Most physical symptoms are gone now (at least while on meds)...still have some psychiatric stuff, which I think takes longer.
