Just to let u know, just started MEPRON and was scared reading reviews.....just to let you know, that I feel better and sysmptoms have subsided since taking the last few days. It's gross looking, but not bad at all....I think the thickness is what makes me gag when pouring onto the spoon. I take with lots of water and it's done!! So far MEPRON is my new BFF, hope we don't get into any disagreements soon, would hate to end this beautiful friendship! LOL 500mgs zith 1x Mepron 2x aday 1tsp

Yeah, I think of it as a gross vanilla flavor, it's gross, but not as bad as how some people seem to experience it. I can't believe the manufacturer calls it 'citrus'. The texture and the slightly numbing medicine aftertaste is nastier than the actual flavor for me. Having a 'chaser' of some kind helps.
Sometimes people herx a few weeks into treatment for babesia, though- I think I was just reading something by Dr B where he mentioned herxing after 3 weeks (I might be wrong about it being Dr B who said this but I've seen it elsewhere). That more or less happened to me- no issues at first other than the first day or two, then major downslide a few weeks in. But I was able to tolerate it really well for months after that.

The only co-infections that i have tested + for is lyme and Ehrlichiosis. I do not have any of the others that Mepron is being used for. ABX history to date: used doxy for 2 months-did well but symptoms returned then switched to zith 250 1x a day for 3 months symptoms returning slowly... now onto zith 500 1x a day with Mepron added test results showed Ehrlichhiosis is now an old infection and not showing symptoms of that. So, i beleive just treating LYME now.

Thx for your results - makes you wonder if you're fighting babs or maybe the Mepron is having some other positive effect??
I'm seeing some minor positive changes with Artemesia so was wondering. 'Enjoy' your new BFF!!

I just started Mepron last week along with Zith too. This is the best I have felt since I started treatment last May.
My memory is starting to come back a bit better and the numbness that I had in my face, legs arms, hands (knock on wood) seem to be better.
At times I feel something different...it's hard to articulate it, but in the places where it typcially tingles, it feels like a dull ache or pressure.
I think Mepron might be my new BFF too. The pharmacy gave me this little "plunger". I know that is not the technical term...can't think of the name at the moment.
However, when I take it I put it towards the back of my throat and it is not as yucky to take.

Day 19 for me on Zithromax/Plaquenil/Mepron. So far the only change I've notice is I'm less fatigued but still foggy.
Friday will be 3 weeks. I'll let you know how I feel.
The taste isn't too bad although it numbs my tongue briefly. It kind of looks like yellow toxic waste

Don't forget to eat something fatty when you take the Mepron so it will be absorbed properly.
