Paul,
Google "GU Syndrome" It talks about ancient Chinese medicine and the "soup" of borrelia, parasites. fungus etc. Mentions damp heat as part of the infections.

Much of what's in that page is pretty straightforward and standard- I think you can find all the herbs cheaper, though.
For some alternatives to ordering from that site, take a look at: http://1stchineseherbs.com/lyme_disease.html (this is an importer whom Stephen Buhner recommends, and the brands that they carry are ones that I keep hearing good things about as far as quality control, etc). Their powdered herbs and Plum Flower brand herb concentrates are really inexpensive.
More info from the makers of the 7 Forests formulas, where I think the protocol above originated (ignore what they say about how only 1% of tick bites may result in Lyme Disease, the info on what herbs to use has really good research behind it, I've heard consistently): http://www.itmonline.org/arts/lyme.htm
Also note that this is 10 year old info, there have been a number of good herbal protocols developed since then, both by TCM practitioners and by others in the LLMD world.

- I would not call that a full protocol but that herbal formulas does seem to be a good combination, from what I've read.
It is more to attend to helping the body clearing out toxins (toxic heat) and may not be enough to actually address all stages and phases of the various infections. Teasel can be hit or miss, depending upon the individual.
As for that brand, I can't say. Quality control requires a bit of research and, although the way the site is arranged with flashy colors and all pushes me away, this seems to be an okay place. I see no big red flags - I really can't read their site for long, though, as it is just very bright on my eyes. -

The herbs used are mostly the ones from the Buhner protocol with a couple of extra Chinese herbs that I have seen mentioned elsewhere. Haven't researched enough to make doseage comparisons.
Would have to agree with Keebler -- while the formula might be enough for Lyme only it would do very little for bart or babs.
