I am now pulsing my Quinine/Clindamycin at higher doses.

I feel totally out of it....like I'm floating, like I'm out-of-body. Feel unsteady too, like I'm moving, though I'm not moving.

I can't really tell if this is derealization (the kind where you're floating above your body) or if it's just plain spinning/floating sensations....I think it's the latter.

All I know is that I'm like...."whooa....I need to lay down." Because I feel unsteady.

Anyone get this when killing babesia?

I'm trying to figure out if this is a babesia herx, or if I'm killing off something else with the Clindamycin.

I'm not getting other tell-tale babesia symptoms like sweats, so I can't figure out what I'm killing.

I am also getting pretty bad all over head headaches, off and on.

Could be the quinine.

Babesia made me feel like I was on a rocking boat! Maybe you need to take a break or back down?

Hope you're taking s.boulardi!!

Lymetoo,

Was the rocking worse when you were on your Quinine/Clindamcyin?

Thanks!

So you think it was from the babesia, and not a "side effect" of the Quinine?

Just making sure I understand.

If so, that's good...hopefully it means I'm on the right track.

Yes, it's most likely a herx, esp since you just increased the meds.....BUT....

I would be careful as to how much quinine you take.

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that! Hopefully it's a herx and a good sign.

Thanks. Today I am getting killer headaches, like the ones I was getting the first time I did Q/C (I took a couple weeks off).

So, it is starting to seem like all of this IS a herx. The floating sensation is better today though. Thank goodness.

I can tell I'll be unable to do much for the next 5 or so days though. Oh well, I guess that is kind of the point of pulsing. When you're "on" the meds, you're herxing.

I have a random Quinine/Clindamycin question.....has anyone gotten really dark ear wax from either drug?

When I'm on these meds, my ear wax is verrry dark brown, and when I'm off, it goes back to being clear. Online, it says ear wax can range in color from clear to dark brown, and that's normal.

But it is strange it coincides with the Q/C.

I'm not taking abx but I was taking Nutramedix Quina (quinine). I was only taking about to take 4 drops or the Quina - 2 times a day. It's very strong. 30 drops is the full dose.

I believe it was effecting the babesia. I don't have any proof, though. I have been feeling weird & having headaches.

I take Excedrin for the headaches - it works pretty well.

I switched to a different herb which is causing similar symptoms. Hope this helps...

Ginger can help calm vertigo and nausea of all varieties, and also help as a pain reliever.

Hoos,
I just started some Mepron I had leftover from the first time I treated this crap, and I woke up 11 hours later with a dizzy, floaty, confused sort of sensation. I realized after an hour or so it feels exactly like a hangover, which just makes me grateful that I don't drink.

Hoosiers51, I agree it sounds like a herx.

Babs can cause a tipsy feeling. I have also felt the floaty, out-of-it feeling when treating Babs. I get horrendous headaches from it too.

Hang in there okay?

Totally! I went through about a 2 week period where I felt like I was floating and I was spinning but the world wasn't. Driving a car made me laugh hysterically cause it felt like a dream.

It was scary and a little fun at the same time. Every time I stood up I almost left my body. When I walked, my legs didn't feel like they were joined onto my body and when I could feel them, I felt like I was almost trotting like a horse.

And no, I was not on acid despite what it sounds like! lol Like everything, this system came then left and hasn't returned.
