I always read here that some lymies also have MCS.

Maybe this good page can help you.

http://mcsrr.org/resources/articles/S3.html

F.e. it helped me to get rid of my mattress as all mattresses have fire retardents.
Fire retardents can give you brain fog, so you wake up in the morning and might feel already tired and foggy.

Keebler,

thanks. With MCS the small things are important, like this sample with the fire retardents.
It makes a huge difference in your life.

I just read the post about the shower: With MCS you need a shower filter because of the chlorine. Please also get one for yourself, you will feel the difference, less toxins for the body. Less toxic burden is important for a body to fight lyme.

I'm wondering if Lymies with MCS can handle abx and even some herbs?

I am chemically sensitive and have gotten worse/major neuro crash's (I don't consider it a herx since I did not recover back to baseline with first crash and took 4-5 months )once when taking a ton of herbs/ramping up on buhner's protocol and now my first experience with abx/pharmecuticals-I'm in neuro hell righ tnow/not recovering even though stopped drugs over 6 weeks ago.

Can MCS lymies get well on abx/pharmecuticals handle them?

f13girl - we with MCS have to find what's going to work for us. I am sensitive to most abx but can take clindamycin.

There is also the detoxigenomic liver test done through Genova Diagnostics lab in NC that tests our genetic capability to detox, and the results show a knowledgeable doctor how to treat the detox pathways.

We ordered a Sleep Number bed recently and the chemical smell was so bad it made my son and I sick.

We discovered they have begun putting fire-retardant and anti-mold chemicals on them in the last few years.

My husband and I bought one 6 years ago before they started the new chemicals and had no problems, smelled no odor at all.

We had to move them out into the garage while waiting for them to come pick them up.

They tried to charge us $199 to pick up a bed that made us sick. I raised Cain so they decided not to charge us. Great customer service.

If you have chemical sensitivities, I'd stay miles away from this bed.

My son is still sick this morning from it.
