Did any of you get dry skin after tick bite and/or treatment? (especially dry skin leading to eczema...)

I started noticing when I left the shower my skin was becoming very painfully dry. Even using lotion, my skin felt like it was stretched over my face.
I complained about it to a dermatologist, and I heard the usual: "Oh, it's nothing. Just use some lotion."
Great, thanks!
Yup, it's either Lyme, Babs, Bart, or some other unknown crazy turbo cyborg running crazy in me taking my fresh skin cells. Damn, him!

Yes, eczema behind knee, dry skin back of hands, and legs. Also small itchy patch slightly raised, on side of the rib area lasting for months. I have a yearly derm appointment in 2 wks and plan to ask about these things. Will see what she says about the "great imposter II".
Beachinit.

I remember before my lyme was diagnosed, about three years ago, one of my complaints to my GP was unusually dry and peeling skin.
And I don't mean just dry. If I scraped at it, say for instance on my arms, it would just peel right off. This was all over my body.
It happened for one season, I think around winter time, then abated.
I still have normally dry skin but nothing like the weird peeling stuff.

Low thyroid function is a common cause for dry skin. I developed really dry skin a few years ago. My doctor prescribed liothyronine (thyroid) meds when he saw how dry my skin was.
My tests for thyroid function were low normal. My dry skin has improved to almost normal since I've been on the med but it is still a little dry.
Years before that I had a small raised itchy patch of eczema but it wasn't preceded by dry skin. I was told it was allergy related and my osteopath told me to take vit C for it. Hefty doses made it go away. I've been on the Vit C since then and it has never returned. I now take 3 gms vit c per day.
