Have been detoxing with chlorella and NAC, ALA and other supplements for the past few weeks. Have not been feeling well on and off.

LLMD is recommending a glutathione IV. Would like to know what your experience has been with these IV's.

Is there is a less expensive method that would give me similar results as the glutathione IV's?

Thank you!
JJ

Glutathione, along with Vit C, are probably the 2 most powerful antioxidants in the body.

When your body is depleted of these 2 your NK Cells (Natural Killer Cells) are hampered big time.

(Exercise increases NK Cell activity)

(ALA & NAC help body to naturally produce more glutathione)

(Some LLMD's will use a couple weeks of IV Glutathione to recovery the levels)

But basically Glutathione acts directly with NK Cells.

The CD57 test, ideally, measures the level of NK Cell activity.

Thanks, Canefan, for this info. So I guess it's a good idea for me to have this IV.

How much NAC and ALA is recommended in order for the body to produce glutathione?

does glutathione make your liver enzymes go down?

Merrygirl,
Yes, I think it would.

N-acetyl cysteine would help the enzymes go down.
I've read they use it for tylenol poisoning.

Whey provides the precursors your liver needs to make glutathione.
