My kids both have Bart streaks and stretch marks, don't feel sick, but will be starting treatment soon. I'm guessing they have Lyme too and everything is just dormant right now.
My daughter had lyme in 2003 and we remember these marks since 2005 maybe earlier and they've spread (gotten worse) over the years. We just never knew what they were and neither did any of the doctors I asked. She will see LLMD next week and hopefully start treatment.
At the same time, she wants to start planning her summer - sign up for summer camp, camping trip, beach, etc. And of course monetary deposits have to be made. But I have no idea how she'll be feeling once she's on treatment and hestitate in commiting to anything.
Have any of you had (or know anyone who had) bart markings with no obvious symptoms and then went thru treatment? Did it bring on symptoms? Did you get sick or were you fine throughout?

It seems that treating bart makes the emotional problems worse. When I started treatment I had crying spells, depression, anger etc. But that only lasted about a month, so I would guess you daughter would be ok by summer if she started treatment now.

I would personally plan your summer as if your daughter is going to be fine.
My kids also have lyme, and although they have not been tested for bart, I know they have it too, based on symptoms and the bart marks.
They were on antibiotics last summer and were able to do what they normally would, although the emotional issues were intensified 100 times.
Everyone responds differently to the treatment, but for me and my kids and my friends with lyme and coinfections, those of us with more symptoms and who are generally sicker have the most reaction to being on antibiotics. So, hopefully your daughter will be okay.
As nefferdun said, this seems like a good time because if she did have an increase in symptoms, she still has some time before summer.

Just be aware that avoidance of the sun is necessary with some antibiotics, i.e., doxy, mino--so if she is on those, she may not be able to spend much time, if any, in the sun.
