I had some symptoms return these last couple days and just wondering whats going on!!!
Today I thought I would take an emergen-c pack (jolt of vit c and electrolytes) and maybe boost my energy a little.
It did the exact opposite though my legs are aching, my stomach is cramping, stabbing and burning... It feels like my kidneys ache my chest hurts.
Im only on 3000 mg of amoxil a day could this be causing it... Ive kind of been on a steady slope downhill since returning home.
Could I just be having a healing crisis from all the vit c? It literally feels like my kidneys are aching along with my thighs.
I had my last liver/kidney function test two weeks ago an everything was ok...
Ive never had a band positive for lyme but have been on the amoxil it was helping till now.
Thinking about laying off it tonight and just waiting till thursday when I go in to see my pcp and see what she says.
I know she will say stop the amoxil but it helped at first... I know nothing about detox and im in quite some pain is there anything I can do? Would it hurt to stop the amoxil... I see dr.c in like 6 weeks.
Anyone ever had anything like this?

It sounds like you're herxing from the amoxi to me. How long have you been on it? It's not uncommon to feel better initially when starting a drug and then have a period of feeling worse from the antibiotic killing off spirochetes. I doubt that the emergen-c is causing your symptoms - I use 4-5 packs of those a day.

On my bad days, I generally feel better in the morning and worse as the day goes on, so it is possible.
Sometimes people may herx within 3 days of starting a new drug, but others say they herx after several weeks of starting, and some don't herx even when the drug is working.
