Hey all,
My parents have been encouraging me to get a Rife machine. Can you all give me some info on where to buy, benefits of some over others, cost, etc?
I have a co-worker that is very familiar with Rife machines since she is from Denmark. They are successfully used in Europe, especially in Germany. Unfortunately in this country everything is run by Big Pharma and the evil Insurance Companies!

Yes, also be careful of Big Pharma, CDC, NIH and IDSA. They don't have our best interest in mind.
But yes, I would make sure I'm doing business with a repectable manufacturer of rife. But just because someone is doing prison time or being accused of wrong doing, doesn't mean they are guilty of charges against them.

Hopefully this is ok to post. FYI I am not anti RIFE or pro RIFE, and have no real strong opinion on this matter just posting the info.
Man Sentenced For Selling Illegal Medical Device Kristen Castillo
SAN DIEGO -- A San Diego man who scammed sick people out of millions of dollars was sentenced for selling medical devices he claimed would cure everything from cancer to AIDS.
A federal judge sentenced James Folsom, 69, to four years and three months in prison for selling black box devices that promised miracles. The products were sold all over the Internet.
San Diegan Dr. Royal Rife started it all back in the 1930s. Over the years, Rife has had true believers in his cures through electrical current, as well as charlatans looking to make money on the boxes. Quantcast
Prosecutors said San Diegan James Folsom earned $8 million selling over 9,000 black boxes over the course of 11 years. The biofrequency devices were sold under the names Astropulse, Global Wellness and Nature Tronics.
"I've seen prices anywhere from a few hundred to maybe $4,000 or $5,000 for that type of device," said Dr. Stephen Barrett who called the devices "quackery." Barrett runs www.quackwatch.org, a Web site to debunk health fraud.
None of the devices Folsom sold were approved by the Food and Drug Administration. He was convicted in federal court on 26 counts of selling "an unapproved medical device."
"He's done something wrong, very defiant and bad," said Barrett.
Folsom and his supporters are planning an appeal, using a Web site to drum up financial support.
Barrett hopes the Folsom case shines a light on scam products, which he says the federal government needs to do a better job policing.
"I want to see a government system do something about the problem," he said.
If an appeals judge upholds the case, the devices Folsom sold will be destroyed. For now, the 450 devices are in FDA storage.
OFFICE OF THE UNITED STATES ATTORNEY SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF CALIFORNIA San Diego, California United States Attorney Karen P. Hewitt
NEWS RELEASE SUMMARY - February 8, 2010
United States Attorney Karen P. Hewitt announced that James Folsom was sentenced today in federal court in San Diego to serve 51 months in custody and a $250,000 fine following his conviction on twenty-six felony counts relating to the sale of unapproved medical devices and the commission of offenses while on pretrial release. The Honorable John A. Houston, United States District Judge, also ordered the destruction of over 450 devices that had been seized by the government during the execution of a search warrant at a self-storage unit used by the defendant. A federal jury found Folsom guilty of conspiring to ship adulterated and misbranded Rife-type biofrequency devices in interstate commerce, following a two-week trial in 2009.
According to evidence presented at trial, the device, marketed by Folsom under the names ``NatureTronics,'' ``AstroPulse,'' ``BioSolutions,'' ``Energy Wellness,'' and ``Global Wellness,'' consisted of a micro-current frequency generator with a digital readout, two stainless steel cylinders, two personal application plates with connectors, and lead wires connecting the device to the cylinders and the plates. Users were provided with an operating manual that set forth hundreds of digital settings for the device, directed to specific conditions from AIDS, diabetes, strokes, and ulcers to worms. Users were advised to connect the cylinders or plates to the machine and touch them to the body for a recommended run time to treat each condition.
According to the testimony at trial, during the period from 1997 through August 2008, the defendant purchased over 9,000 units, which he sold to distributors for approximately $1000-1200, and to retail customers for $1995, with sales totaling over $8 million. The devices were manufactured by the defendant and others in a San Diego location, which he failed to register with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a device manufacturing establishment. The defendant used the false name ``Jim Anderson,'' when selling the device and used post office boxes, self-storage units, and bank accounts opened in the names of others to conduct his business in an effort to avoid detection by the FDA.
The devices were adulterated in that they were marketed without a valid investigational device exemption, without pre-market approval, and in violation of an electrical performance standard set by the FDA, prohibiting lead wires that come into contact with patients from being able to come in contact with potentially hazardous voltages. The devices were also misbranded in that they were marketed without valid clearance from the FDA, did not bear the name and address of the manufacturer on the labeling, and were produced in an unregistered manufacturing establishment.
United States Attorney Hewitt said, ``The United States Attorney's Office will vigorously prosecute those who compromise or jeopardize public safety by selling misbranded or adulterated products.'' ``The FDA Office of Criminal Investigations is fully committed to investigating and supporting the prosecution of those who may endanger the public's health and safety by manufacturing and selling unsafe products to be used on an unsuspecting public. We continue to look forward to working with our law enforcement partners and commend the U.S. Attorney's Office for their diligence,'' said Thomas Emerick, Special Agent in Charge, FDA Office of Criminal Investigations, Los Angeles Field Office.
``The Postal Inspection Service remains committed to keeping our nation's mail system free from criminal misuse and we will continue to join forces with our law enforcement partners to protect the American public from fraud,'' stated B. Bernard Ferguson, Inspector in Charge of the Los Angeles Division.

Folsom has "supporters." I wonder if that's similar to "a small group of vocal physicians and Lyme Disease advocacy groups." that the IDSA talks about when spinning their political misinformation machine.

Jim was offered two year of probation, a small fine, and an agreement not to sell any machines in that period of time.
He decided to fight the system instead, because he believes he has done nothing wrong.
You can tell how serious the original charge was by the offered settlement. His mistake was standing on principle. Now they are throwing the book at him.

Dan,
I'm curious, do you know anyone who bought his machines? If so, were they valid machines?
Did he sell the better known ones such as the GB 4000?
Do you know much about him? This is terrible news. The fact that he fought the system means he truly believed in what he was doing.
Thanks, tickbattler

I did not know him, but have talked to people who did.
He sold the machines that were named "Global Wellness", "Naturetronics" and a few other names. They all were the same machine, branded under different names, and sold by different companies.
They are functional machines, but most people who use these regularly did not care for that particular brand because of the limitations of the design.
It gives you codes for a condition instead of the actual frequencies, and that was the biggest complaint.
They were more for the casual user who was not going to put much time into researching specific frequencies. Just run whatever is programmed in, and see what happens. They did work as good as any other contact machine.
He made medical claims and that is the usual thing that will get you in trouble, if you sell them.
The people that know him, think he is a pretty stand up guy. If he was a shady character, I would think he would have settled, as the original conditions of the plea bargain were pretty minor.
He was thoroughly convinced he had done nothing wrong, and I suppose they want to make an example of him for standing up for himself. It has worked also. I can see the results of the chill this has caused in the frequency machine business. There is no site, I have seen, that has not been redesigned as a result.

Stephen Barrett is a QUACK! He has been through the courts many times as well! Total jerk. Probably works inside for the INsurance companies and/or Big Pharma. I have a co-worker from Denmark and she mentioned they use them all the time in Europe and most people do very well using Rife. They are even found in Doctor's offices.....things are more open in Europe and people have better access to alternatives.
Unfortunately, doctors in this country are forced to drink the Kool Aid medical BS they are fed in Med school written by the Pharmaceutical companies and Insurance Companies. Anything that does not take the party line, is cast out as quackery...even if it has more merrit than the garbage treatment they provide.
