I was sitting in front of the computer and for a second it felt like my brain turned off.
It felt like a electric current went through my brain and I felt a "jolt" inside my brain.
Then everything went dark for a second followed by breathlessness, dizziness, extreme anxiety and a feeling like I was going to pass out.
Has anyone experienced anything similar. If so, what is it? What's happening to me?

I"m sorry to hear that happened- that sounds scary. I don't have anything constructive to add but just wanted to say that I was wondering how you've been doing since you got an LLMD and so forth. I haven't had symptoms like that so I can't help with your question, though.

I've been staying positive and praying that I get back to normal soon.
I feel like my treatment is working. Some symptoms are disappearing, but new ones pop up. All these symptoms are manageable.
However, the omnipresent "brain fog" is my worst symptom. It's been 9 months and it hasn't changed at all.
But what I experienced inside my head was very scary. Next to chest pains I've had in the past this is the scariest symptom thus far.
I felt like I was going to die for a second
I hope those bugs are dying off!

I did been. It was really weird.
I guess if you have a brain infection anything can seem weird. I think you are hitting them hard.

I have experienced this. I also experience that anytime I get up no matter if I am just sitting or laying down after I get up and take a few steps everything goes black and my head feels weird. At first we thought it was my blood pressure but after monitoring it that wasn't it. Crazy

I have had this too, very scary! I described it exactly as you have, it was as if my brain turned off...I actually had to shake my head to jump start it.....
but, our brains haven't really 'shut off' because we're aware of it....that means our brains are working, right?
it's happened to me several times and while scary as heck, i'm still around to talk about it

I haven't had everything go dark as you explained, but I have told my doctor that sometimes I feel like I am not there for a few seconds, much akin to you saying you brain turned off. My doctor looks at me like I am crazy. MRI's and MRA's were done and only things found was a small stroke that happened sometime after I was diagnosed with Lyme. Only symptom I had was excrutiating headaches that doctor's say are migraines (I am not convinced of that, as I never hade them before contracting LYme)

I have also had the feeling that my brain shut down for like a second or two. Very hard to explain. Its very sudden and very quick, but obvious and defintely not normal.
I have had so many weird brain events with this illness that its gotten where its not even that alarming anymore. I just want to feel better!

Have had many jolts go "across " my brain, feels just like electricity, followed by immediate anxiety, probably because it's so incredibly scarey. After the jolts my head pressure and dizziness are worse.

I used to have horrible brain/head jolts that would scare me so bad. I would be frightened that one would instantly kill me one day.
The more they happened the less frightened I became. The more I treated and detox eliminating neurotoxins in my body, these disappeared.

I have had weird brain things, too. We wondered about them for years. Then more recently, my new LLMD had a Spect scan done.
Surprise, surprise....not enough oxygen getting to my brain! Explains a lot.
But I see some small improvements with Bicillin so I am convinced it is reversible.
