Hi,

I posted about this when I started levqauin. I have been on it for 5 weeks. I pulse it only M, W, F.

I think I am herxing hard from it. At least I hope. I am writing for a different reason. I feel the levaquin immediately upon taking it. I feel spacey, almost drunk, out of it, can't think.

I posted before and people said that it would pass if I gave it time. It hasn't.

I would like to hear from people who have had this problem for an extended period, and then it passed. I am trying to decide if it is just the wrong drug for me. I can keep going if others will tell me that this stopped for them.

I finally sent a message to my LLMD about this. I just don't know what to do.

Thoughts?

Kathy

sorry, never had that spaciness but I never pulsed any of my meds. I took levaquin twice daily.

Hope someone can help you.

Wonder if the pulsing is causing the longer side effects. Seems those that pulse have harder time with that kind of thing.

I'm sure your LLMD has good reasons to pulse.

I was hoping that the pulsing was taking me a longer to adjust to this, but it has been 5 weeks. Maybe that is still the case. Rifampin alone did not get to the bart. I want to stick with the levaquin and see if it will help, but it is making the day to day really hard.

Did the levaquin help?

Others, have you overcome the spaciness? Need some encouraging words.

Hi Venus,

I had the spaciness for years, very severe along with depersonalization and derealization. It is AWFUL!

It eased some with Larium and Primaquine which led me to believe it was Babesia.

I finished the course and went on Levaquin.

I became really spacey again. It wasn't the Levaquin , for me, it was a return of Babesia.

Coertem/Riamet has really relieved it as long as I keep taking it.

Fuzzy Slippers posted a list of symptoms of Bart and Babs a while back and spaciness is on the list for Babs. That's what it is for me.

BTW, Many treatments for Babs. didn't touch the spaciness,(or other symptoms for that matter), such as Mepron/Zith, Malarone, Alinia,...

Hope this helps as it is a terrible symptom to suffer.
