Hi All, I have posted about my experiences treating Lyme in the past. My last was using the Bio photon treatment and homeopathics which seemed to be really helping with the Lyme. Yet, and here is the rub, my Coxsackie B and CMV, have jumped through the roof and are kicking my butt. Heart pain, trouble breathing, etc. I got new labs back so I know these are my new nemesis. My LLMD sent me a note when he got my latest labs and said to start taking L-lysine until I see him in May.

Why is it when we knock something down there is always something else to pop up. I was actually beginning to feel semi-normal.
Also, my Vitamin D levels are low and he wants me to take Vitamin D. I am very scared of Vitamin D because I feel so weak after being in the sun or taking Vitamin D. Also, there is so much controversy over this Vitamin.
Since I have already learned many of you are smarter than the Drs. I see any advice would mean much. If you need more info just ask. We're all friends here.

Thanks, TrueSun

Hi~ I do not have a problem with CMV, but I do with Coxsackie B (3,4 and 5).

Here's a website for more info: www.enterovirusfoundation.org.

I'm on oxymatrine, and my antibody titers are dropping and I'm feeling better. Ditto for a friend of mine. My oxymatrine journey can be found here: http://hhv6foundation.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=antiviral&action=display&thread=200

You will need to sign in to read the post.

Best, Timaca

Hi Truesun,

Before being diagnosed with lyme, had CFS for years with high viral titers for CMV, HHV-6 and Coxsackie viruses. I have tried so many treatments for viruses over the years, and found that rest and reduction of stress is the best cure. Some people benefit from Valtrex, which is a benign drug for "herpes-type" viruses, but it didn't do much for me. Valcyte is another very potent medication which I was prescribed, but decided not to take, because it is a serious drug with serious side effects. Monolaurin or Lauracidin is a product that is effective against herpes-type viruses, and many have had good results. I am considering starting this myself.

Vitamin D, for me, is an energy booster. I can immediately feel the positive affects. (The only controversy over Vit D, that I'm aware of, is with the Marshall protocol).
