I have been taking Factive since January and always forget to ask if I need to have an EKG. Just interested if anybody else is taking a long term quinolone and if they are having EKG's and how often. Thank you.

If you are prone to arrhythmias then I would get one and keep an eye on it. That qroup of drugs can cause electrical issues with the heart.

I have read about the effects that quinolones can have on the heart but I am not prone to arrhythmias. Thank you.
