- Then discontinue it if you are convinced it is not working for you. It can be strong for some but some sort of liver support is vital.
You said you tried "a bunch of detox supps"
The thing is that you may have been starting too many new things at once. It is best to start only one thing at a time, and at a low dose. Slowly then increasing a bit but adding something new only after a week or so, and adding that slowly.
Be sure to drink plenty of water, also it's good eat a lot of colorful veggies from the moment you wake up through an evening snack. A bit of red cabbage is a refreshing snack any time of the day, etc.
Looking back over that link at the top of the first post above: that is a lot of false information. True, Milk Thistle is just one of many good liver supports but I really have a problem with the way that article is written. Actually, the supplement they suggest looks to be a nice formula but I'm totally turned off by their approach as it seems unprofessional. There are other more reputable sources for herbs.
An ILADS-educated LL ND (naturopathic doctor) would be best to guide you in this area. Some other LL doctors know more about nutritional supplements, like vitamins, too. But, for the herbs, NDs have four years of medical school in just that area. A LL ND would know more about how to put their knowledge to use for lyme patients. No two of us have exactly the same needs nor can each of us tolerate what another can.
But, also, taking it one day and expecting to feel better the next, well, nothing about lyme treatment (Rx or complementary) works that way very often. But, if you feel worse, that's not good, either. There are likely reasons so listen to your body.
Good luck. -
