Can being on IV Rocephin cause menstrual irregularities? My period has been very normal for the last several months and now that I've started my IV I haven't had a period. I'm like 2.5 weeks late! I'm not pregnant (I hope not anyways!)

Could this be from treatment?

Thanks.

Yes, menstrual irregularities are very common with Lyme. The longest with no period for me was 8 months when I first started treating with IV but it wasn't Rocephin.

IV Rocephin affects pituitary which affects hormones, so yes, this is common.

Do you happen to know if that's a Rocephin issue, a cephalosporin issue, or a Lyme/herx issue? Very interesting to hear that also.
