So, what's the connection? It seems that a lot of people that have Lyme and co also have high cholesterol. I am a vegitarian (pretty strict), and limited quanities of cheese are my only cholesterol sources, yet my latest tests are horrible. I have a total cholesterol of 245, triglycerides are 249, LDL is 154 (high), VLDL is 50 (high) and my good cholesterol HDL is only 41.
Does anyone know the mechanism for elevated lipids in people with Lyme? BTW- I don't have anaplasmosis, and am almost in a remission state from Lyme and co.
