I take it with Whey protein as it works better that way.

Is NAC okay to take? I read a post from GiGi that NAC can move metals around in the body. I would like to start taking this but was unsure. Anybody know?

Without NAC and Whey, I honestly wouldn't make it day to day without my CNS going completely nuts to the point where an E.R. can't sedate me without huge amounts of intravenous Ativan.
I take tranquilizers as well. If I don't have these supplements on hand, I need much more tranquilizers to make it through a day. I read in medical journals recently that NAC does significantly help with anxiety, PTSD, depression, etc.
I do what works for me. Not what someone else claims in a forum. What works for me may not work for you.

You are supposed to take NAC on an empty stomach. I take mine with food though because I have trouble remembering to take it at another time. I take 2 600mg tablets twice daily of the Jarrow Brand sustained release NAC.
I also take my vit C (1,000mg) once daily with food.
As far as I know, these two supplements do not interact with other supplements or meds.
