has anyone every heard of this drug buspirone hcl..
i got it last year from my dr. but i never used it. it causes drowsiness but will you fall asleep from it. i will start to used this tonight, i was doing the withdrawal but the next day, i didnt got any sleep had a headache and i couldnt do anything.....i am going to try this anxiety drug, i dont want a anitdepression pill, i read that is hard to get off of that also.

Buspirone

Buspirone is a medication that is used for treating anxiety. By affecting certain chemicals in the brain (serotonin and dopamine), the drug can help improve symptoms of anxiety disorders.

Buspirone is available by prescription and comes in the form of a tablet that is generally taken two to three times a day. Potential side effects include headache, nausea, dizziness, and drowsiness.

I know nothing about it. You can check here:

www.drugdigest.com

Trazodone which you mentioned before is better in my opinion than an anti-anxiety drug. You could have depression from the Lyme. If you take the traz it could kill two birds with one stone.

Traz is a tricyclic anti-dep .. much better than using an SSRI. It's the SSRI's that are so hard to get off of.

tutu i tried this the first night that i got the prescription, but it did nothing for me, i laid there all night but did not fall asleep, i have experience what withdrawal is like 4 days ago.i just want whatever i take to put me to sleep. am i asking for to much"?

i am willing to try anything, because i want to get off of restoril, i stated taking restoril around june or july, i was taking ambien from april of last year, so its a year now that i am on benos, IWANT OFF...if i have known what i know now about these sleep aides... i would not have started taken them, maybe i would start taken the Trazodone again tonight..

around this time last night i took the restoril, at least i am trying to get off. the withdrawal is beginning, i have a little headache, i now know what to expect, so i am not as anxious...

if the trazodone will put me to sleep, you better believe i will be taking it, i have over the counter aids, like SKULLCAP, GABA, MELATONIN, AND 5-HTP FOR help. any thoughts on these.. good or bad..take for help or not.

Street-

I used to take that medicine for my anxiety. I don't remember having a sedative effect. Actually, I think I took it during the day time.

If you are looking for a sleep-aid, this is not the drug for you. In my opinion, it would be better for you to go ahead and take whatever medication you need to help you with your sleep.

Being addicted to a sleeping medicine is better than not sleeping at all. That would make me crazy.

WHICH one...this one Buspirone or this one Trazodone

i never tried buspirone, but my dr refused to gave me sleep aide, and gave me buspirone, she said she dont gave out drugs to her patience,

if she had only explain herself to the point of what i know now .... i would have been off of benos since summer of 09, i was asking for it and she kept saying no. no explanation on why, she should have told me.

I don't think Buspirone will help you sleep. Trazadone will. If Trazadone helps you sleep it's much better than other medications. It is not addictive.

By addictive I mean you would not go through withdrawal if you got off of it. That doesn't mean you would be able to sleep if you go off of it.

Trazadone made me sleep like a baby.

And I had no problems getting off of it when I no longer needed help with sleep issues. Stopped cold turkey - no withdrawal at all.

My daughter tried buspar a few years ago. It was supposed to help with anxiety. She was not on it long because it made her headache worse.

Yep, Buspars was given to me wayyyyyy in the begining of my lyme symptoms...

it gave me some more problems...like while I was driving I had a bad attack of "VERTIGO"....

so I never took too much of that drug....

if that's what you're taking....don't know what the Benzos are you refer to...

I hope you're seeing a doctor with all this stuff....because even St John's Wart has been

reported in the funny papers(Cleve Plain Dealer)as having an affect on the chemicals of the brain...

Ya'll better not be messing with too many mind altering drugs or supps....

Also...just so ya knoe....God DON'T Give IT!

So I suggest ya get yer nose in the Bible and check out the New Testament....

You are kidding right?

Do you really think reading the bible will cure LD? If that was all it took, there would be no need for lymenet and all the other sites. We'd all have known of this reading-the-bible "cure" a long time ago.

And do you really think the "saved" can cure themselves? How do the "saved" people do this? And what exactly is your definition of "saved"?

I think "saved" means those who have figured out that God helps those who help themselves.

Do you actually even have LD? Are you "cured"?
