don't one of the co's have sore feet as a symptom? The bottom of my left foot is always sore...not the skin, not the muscles, but the ball of my foot. Neither joint nor bone pain have been been major symptoms for me. The women will get this...it feels like I've been wearing heels all day and I've been wearing sneakers. No...I do not have results yet for testing for co's.

Bartonella is the heel pain thing. But I'd think it would be pain in both feet, wouldn't it?

That was the first symptom I had, the pain in the ball of my foot. I could'nt even walk, I was given a boot to help me walk. That severe pain is gone but my foot still hurts. Not the skin but the inside. The pain is always there, walking or not. I don't know if I have any co-infections because my LLMD did'nt test me for them. I only have a few symptoms for the co-infections but not really enough to make a diagnosis. He said sometimes after starting treatment for lyme the other symptoms start showing up so he was going to wait and see what happened. Does that sound right?

sore soles is listed as a coinfection symptom in B's Guidelines
BARTONELLA & ''BARTONELLA-LIKE ORGANISMS''- Gradual onset of initial illness. CNS symptoms are out of proportion to the musculoskeletal ones- if a patient has no or minimal joint complaints but is severely encephalopathic (see below), then think of Bartonella/BLO. Obvious signs of CNS irritability can include muscle twitches, tremors, insomnia, seizures, agitation, anxiety, severe mood swings, outbursts and antisocial behavior. GI involvement may present as gastritis or abdominal pain (mesenteric adenitis). Sore soles, especially in the morning. Tender sub-cutaneous nodules along the extremities, especially outer thigh, shins, and occasionally along the triceps. Occasional lymphadenopathy. Morning fevers, usually around 99. Occasionally light sweats are noted. Elevated vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) occurs in a minority, but the degree of elevation correlates with activity of the infection and may be used to monitor treatment. Rapid response to treatment changes- often symptoms improve within days after antibiotics are begun, but relapses occur also within days if medication is withdrawn early. May have papular or linear red rashes (like stretch marks that do not always follow skin planes), especially in those with GI involvement.

my feet are always sore primarily my left foot- it burns, aches- feels very hot sometimes very cold others, sometimes feels like toes are in a vise, tramadol helps somewhat- pain always gets worse as day goes on- several tests for bart-neg.- my feet are always best in the morning. 2 years of abx and very little relief- doctors want me to exercise as much as possible but its hard to even go in a store. I hope and pray those with this problem will get releif.

My heels were always sore when getting out of bed in the morning. It wore off after walking a bit.
It goes away with treatment. This was the first Bart symptom that went away.
