I took a few days off abx to pulse myself and kill some bugs.... i've noticed it seemed to make me herx last time I did it. So I am just switching things up trying it out.... as opposed to taking my dose every single day like I have been for a long time.

Anyways the last several nights I have been getting aches in my chest and into my back. Mostly the chest. I'm having indigestion feelings in my throat and I'm scared of a heart attack, of course It could be anxiety. Just wondering could it be lyme related? I'm just so scared of heart issues I had a full cardiac workup less then 2 years ago, an echo stress, etc. etc. and they said everything looked fine. I just have a phobia of heart stuff. I'm a 27 year old guy and not really overweight or anything. Just scared to death of heart stuff and my family members always say "its probably just lyme". I also have PVC's or heart hiccups infrequently during my days and every now and then like a shortness of breath out of the blue.

Someone just let me know if they've had any chest issues or pain with lyme.... its bothered me since diagnosis and scared the heck out of me.

If you are not replacing electrolytes while treating it may be worth a try to see if that stops

it. If it does not help you may want to see your LLMD.

I have shortness of breath and some chest pain too. I have been told its called "air hunger". I usually take ginger root or magnesium when im really having trouble which is pretty often for me. I was really scared too at first. I thought I had to go to the ER all the time. I had my heart checked and even my lungs and everything is normal. So I know its from the lyme. Hope this helps alittle. Hang in there!!

Same thing here, except mine has been coming more frequently.

Cardiologist says all is fine, but I still feel horrible with the air hunger and chest issues.

Clint,

Could be a combo of chostochondral joints and nerves, which would be the lyme....in my estimation, just based on comparing what you are saying with my own experience.

I had a doozy of a chest pain last week while drying my hair to the point where I went down to the floor and really had a had time breathing and a hard time moving. It's because my chest wall has become weakened over time and the nerve and joint damage from the Lyme have made it so that this happens to an intense degree sometimes. For me, its nerve and joint and it effects breathing sometimes (nerve).

But at the same time, I do feel my heart is involved to an extent but not to the extent that it is Cardiologist necessary, just the power source of the overall blood/oxygenation problem, which in my opinion, has to do with remnants of babesia.

Hope it gets better for you. You are young and I think you caught it timely. You might want to try stretches and weights on a consistent basis...and even yoga or tai chi or qi gong... as part of your protocol ... to help maintain overall core strength, something that if it is possible, is really important in the long term... otherwise you will just continue to get weaker. (hindsight is 20-20!)

I have all kinds of chest pain, shortness of breath (air hunger), "skipped" beats, left shoulder pain, left jaw pain, chest spasms, and weird artery spasms. I've been to the ER probably close to 10 times in the last 2 years, a few times to urgent care, and umpteen cardiologist visits.

Yes, all of those "cardiac" symptoms are very unnerving.

Everything has always checked out okay. My LLMD thinks it's babesia and he also thinks I'm on the tail end of beating it. Sure hope so.

HI Clint,

I have had severe chest pain in the past but it has gotten better. The last time I almost went to the ER was when I was on Rifampin. That stuff made me feel like I was having a heart attack. My BP was really really high. It usually is normal.

It's always good to be on the safe side and have it checked if your concerned but chest pain is a common symptom with Lyme.

well see that's the problem tho. i've always put mine down to lyme. i suffered for years with high bp, high heart rate, palpitations, skips, etc., thinking oh it's just lyme.

it wasn't and now i have a damaged heart.

i still say if you think you're having problems, at the least, see a cardiologist.

i should have gotten my rear to one long ago.

Sadly, this was my very first symptom that had me going to the doctor long before I knew I had Lyme.

I had all the usual heart tests, all the way to a heart catherization. They came up with nothing to explain the chest pain that would radiate into the back.

They ended up feeling it must be anxiety so gave me that and steroids. Not a good idea, but at the time, I had no clue.

Five years later as symptoms kept spreading, they I got the Lyme Bartonella and Babesiosis diagnosis.

I've had the chest issues off and on through out treatment for the last 3 1/2 years, but it is getting better.

I would definitely have them run an EKG if you are concerned but if that comes out fine, talk to your LLMD about probably Babs treatment.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Cathy
