On 2 separate occasions, My daughter cut her leg while shaving. The bleeding stopped after several minutes, then started, stopped and started up to 6 hours later.
She is currently only taking Zoloft, chlorella, andrographis, fish oil, electroytes, and protein drink.
Anybody have any insights?

Did you get her platelets checked, just to be on the safe side?

- That happened to me (many decades ago) when I was a teenager but was using my Dad's razor that had open corners. A STYPTIC PENCIL stopped it but it took several applications over an hour or longer.
As an adult, I've also needed a Styptic pencil on several occasions. It's life safer to stop bleeding from small cuts.
You can find a STYPTIC PENCIL at just about any drug store. Hope you find out what is going on. Maybe she needs more vitamin K, more greens. -

Alum is also a styptic, and a little of the powder will stop bleeding.
I bought it from the spice section, in the grocery store. It is used when making sweet pickles, to make them crunchy.

I too would suspect platelets. You need to be sure that is not the cause.

Too much Fish Oil (EPA) can cause excess bleeding. Typically over 3 grams. This isn't common I believe, but this happens to my own mother when she was taking 3 grams of EPA.
Yes, fish oil can have side effects. It may not be the problem, but if nothing else is found, it's something to think about.
Andrographis can cause bleeding as well.

She needs to be checked for a blood clotting disorder like mild Von Willebrand's disease.
My son is a hemophiliac and has bleeds like that. One time he barely bit the tip of his tongue and it bled for over 9 hours. Other times cuts clot like normal. I'd take her to a hematologist (don't bother mentioning Lyme or abx).

Thanks
