I am on month 3 of treatment and would like to take a break from the medications for maybe a few weeks. Is this ok or will it give the bacteria a break and cause it to flair up?

My reasons are a bit of stomach issues and money issues :/

I also am scared to be on abx for so long but I don't want to mess up my treatment

What is your opinion on doing this?

Multiple docs, negative Labcorp test
LLMD: 1/10
Positive Igenex/CDC test
Treatment 2/10
2/10-8/10 Amox, ceftin, zith, flagyl
Currently: Bicillin, Minocycline, still dealing with severe breathing issues

When we switched my daughter to a more holistic LLMD, he put her on a 6 week abx break and worked on getting her body in better shape to use the abx more effectively.

I was concerned, but she did actually improve on the break.

So, according to this doctor, it is ok.

It will also be helpful to see what happens with no meds for a while.

I have done it a couple of times, of my own accord, not necessarily my LLMD's.

I just recently stopped for only 2 weeks. I had 5 days of bliss - even forgot about Lyme for an hour or two here and there, unbelievable.

For me, after about 5-6 better days, symptoms started creeping back up, don't know...see my LLMD later this week and will discuss it with him.
