Okay....so this is strange.

I took Levaquin about 2-3 months ago. Only made it about 6 weeks...my knees started hurting a lot, and also my ankles. So I got worried about damage from Levaquin, and stopped it.

After stopping Levaquin, I felt worse in general, and was more tired.

For the last 2 months or so, the tendon/joint pain (I don't know how to distinguish between the two) hasn't gotten any better...which was worrying me. I was thinking it was a possibility it was just Lyme/some infection that the Levaquin brought out, but was thinking instead it was probably side effects aka being "floxed."

So I was leaning towards the side effect theory.

Then I start Tindamax a couple days ago. I have generally been feeling better and more energetic since starting it.

But here is the strange thing.....my joints do not hurt anymore!

I can't rule out that it is Nutramedix Samento causing it, because I also started that within the past week.

But I just think this is so strange....it seems to me like the tendon/joint pain was actually Lyme, brought out by Levaquin....and the Tindamax resolved the pain.

If you have tendon pain on Levaquin, I definitely think you should stop and be safe, but by the same token, this is interesting, because maybeeeee, at least in MY case, it wasn't side effects and was really Lyme.

I'm glad, you're doing better. Hope, it lasts!
That's not the case with me. 3 Months after the Levaquin-floxing my knees start hurting more.

Some ABX have an anti-inflammatory effect.
Could that be an answer?

I sorta have a similar thing with Flagyl- it brought out really bad joint pain, that persisted for several weeks after stopping the Flagyl, and I think it went away after taking other antibiotics. This happened at least twice as I've done 'courses' of Flagyl and was not on it continuously.

I was told that it is common to have increased muscle pain with levaquin. Tight muscles pull on joints making them hurt. When the muscles aren't so tight, joint pain is better. That's been my experience.

So glad you have some improvement.
