I have developed a nodule or small cyst on my hand. It is a little smaller than a marble. It is located below my ring finger about an inch, almost on the palm. It seemed to have appeared over night about 2 days ago. Are these kinds of nodules related to Lyme Disease?

- I've no links to back this up but I've read that they can be. However, not necessarily. It may be hard to know but mention it to your LLMD and if any treatment is to be done the LLMD should know about it FIRST.
And, as that is likely pressing on nerves or tendons, you'd want advice on what to do about it. It may disappear on its own soon but you'd want to know if heat, massage, acupuncture, etc. would be helpful or harmful.
Although an acupuncturist would not put a needle into a cyst but around it, far enough as to not irritate but within the meridian so as to remove blockage and increase circulation. Still, a LL L.Ac. would be best if that is a route you consider for your hand.
A paste of epson salt or soaking your hand in warm water with epson salt may be of help. -

Tbanks Keeb!
I just read that these can be related to rheumatoid arthritis or lupus. It can also be due to tendon damage. I have had tons of tendon issues with LD. Also it can be just a harmless cyst.
I go to LLMD in 2 weeks and will for sure show it to him.
Hoping someone else comes along that may have had something similar!

I have those little bumps - and I believe they are from Lyme. If you were exercising though - maybe it's from that. Don't you hate feeling them?

Hmm, is it a ganglion cyst (bible cyst)?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganglion_cyst I had one in about that location on my hand many years ago, about two years after when I believe I was infected. Never thought about whether it could be related to Lyme. At the time I saw a bone/joint doc. He said it could be removed, but not really worth it b/c I wasn't having pain. It disappeared a couple months later.

After doing some reading, I think it is a ganglion cyst.

I've had ganglions. It might be that...? I got one on my foot last summer. I massaged it alot & it seemed to go away. I've had them on my wrist, too.
I read some people posts on the internet about them. Don't get any surgery for it. I read someone's post - they got surgery & it just came back...
Epsom salt soaks & massage are probably helpful.

PS - if it hurts, you can wrap it in some of that elastic bandage for sprains. That seemed to help me in the past. Depends on the location...
I used to do textile design & I used my wrist alot to paint. If it's in a area where you have to move it around alot - it's best to try to wrap it to prevent moving it around too much.
