What kind of physician can evaluate these types of symptoms?
A simple normal saline IV burns like fire, and the fluid goes straight to the legs. You can watch the fluid accumulating in the legs.
Any substance by the IV route causes pain.
Sometimes the swelling/edema involves the face and neck.
This is very uncomfortable and limits willingness to treat the infection, which would probably clear up this problem.

I asked a cardiologist's nurse this question. She suggested a vascular surgeon. Vascular surgeons do more than just vascular surgery.
I talked to the vascular surgeon's nurse. She asked me some questions and said the symptoms were "bizarre." My insurance doesn't require a doctor referral, but she said they require a referral. She treated me like a wacko.
She suggested a rheumatologist to deal with what "sounds like an auto-immune problem."
