So I have been having much much much better bowel movements since the diet changes and abx.

Today though I had white cotton like threads in my stool. They just appeared out of nowhere? Do I now have a parasite or yeast problem?

Anybody have this while on ABX. Nothing really changed in the last month I have been eating lots of garlic and last night I added granulated garlic to my pork but I cant imagine it would bring a change that quick.

Keep a sample of your stool with the white stuff in it and ask your doctor to have it examined. If there is something that abnormal in your stools, they should be able to get some idea of what it is by looking at it under a microscope.

Parasite tests aren't that accurate even for pets. I know from first hand experience.

Garlic can kill both yeast and parasites if you eat enough. I have no idea if you've eaten enough to kill anything but since lyme patients tend to have problems with both it would be worth investigating.

Thanks Terry,

If it happens again I will try to get a sample... Not sure how to do that? Cause im not touching it haha.

When i say I eat garlic I eat A LOT of garlic... Last night alone I had granulated garlic on my pork quite a bit, put it on my broccoli and cucumber and in my quiona. Also in my quiona I chopped up to fresh garlic cloves and put them in... Yes, i really like garlic.

The only other thing I did last night was take an epsom salt bath but I dont think this could effect my stool.

Sorry for that second post I was in a hurry. Its meant to say. Also, I eat like a horse and cannot gain weight!...

Maybe I will try some granulated garlic and get some more fiber in me tonight and see what happens.

To collect a stool sample, wear new latex gloves, scoop some up and put in a clean (dishwasher clean) jar. Do this right over the toilet. Use the clean gloved hand to hold the jar so that you don't have to use the other hand for anything other than putting the sample in the jar. DO NOT touch anything else with the contaminated glove.

Have a plastic bag handy to remove the glove (even before putting the lid on the sample) and throw it in the plastic bag and in the garbage immediately. It can be tricky but you can get the glove off with your clean hand without touching anything that is contaminated. Grab the wrist and pull the glove down from there so that the glove is being rolled off. Be very careful not to touch anything with the contaminated glove, even the jar.

Next time you see your doctor, ask them if they can help you. There are kits that you can use to send in samples to labs. Perhaps they have something in their office? If they won't help you then you may need to see a Naturopathic doctor or a medical doctor who knows about parasites.

The fact that you eat like a horse and cannot gain weight is indicative of parasites/worms but some other problem might be causing that as well.

If you are eating a LOT more garlic than usual, or you have a new infection, then I'd say it probably is parasites but it could be something else.

When I was killing candida the first time, I had some funny looking stuff come out in my urine but I didn't check my stools at the time so for all I know, it could have been in them as well.

Good luck. I hope you get to the bottom of it and get it taken care of quickly.

Terry
