We saw 2 chiropractors in Redwood City and Los Altos. Los Altos chiro has a bionic 880, but didn't use it on my daughter, said she was too sick.
We are now in Reno and have met with Dr. R, ND today for 3 hours and again tomorrow.
All 3 say the problem is her immune system has crashed and we have to rebuild that first. Needless to say, they all have different ways to do that.
I think that by the time we get home we will have a plan in place. I am feeling more optimistic at the moment.
One thing that I am finding is that a lot of the advice I got here was good advice, but not good for my daughter in particular.
For example, her body is not capable of detoxing right now, it is overloading her. We need to open the detox pathways first. Also, I am told that she can't handle glutithione,.
I really appreciate all the support and advice, I just want to caution you if you are very, very ill I really think you need expert help.
If you're not critically ill I think it is great to try things that make sense to you. Just my opinion. Again, I feel so supported by all of you.
Bless you all:) Marla

I am glad that you have found some physicians that you feel can help. That is half the battle. And don't feel like you have to see one physician exclusively. Often works out better to have one primary type doc who can coordinate everything, but to maybe have a 2nd doc for nutrition or detox or whatever who complements the other one.

Is that the same thing that they have in Germany? So, people can get this treatment in the U.S. or am I mistaken?

The Ronald McDonald House will provide housing while you're traveling. You'll need approval by your doctor.
Many of them serve supper and have plenty of food on hand to make your own breakfast & lunch...or offer a place to shower and relax even if you don't need a room for the night.
A social worker or your doctor can make the referral, but you may be able to initiate a request by yourself.
Hope this helps you Marla.
Please post your detox plan when you get one. It would help many here who are in a similar predicament.

I'd love to hear what your daughter uses to detox.
I have the HLA-DR4 gene that may make it more difficult to detox. I suspect my daughter may have it too. Each short attempt at treatment causes her to be in terrible pain.

Betty, I hope you find it soon. At least you know why you feel rotten when everyone thinks you should be doing better.

It has been a long road with a complicated protocol of plant stem cells, samento, trace minerals and other things to get the detox process started.
One thing that helped to start detoxing right away was Yucca Root (not stalks). She started sweating and it smelled like ammonia. Lyme gives off ammonia when it dies.

Hi Marla, how is your daughter?
My daughter is still very sick. She has two MTHFR genetic mutations and likely has the HLA-DR4 problem like me.

Research KPU, HPU, or Porphyrin disease.
Many lyme patients have this inherited disorder, causing the inablitly to detox.
Check out Dr. K's site for treatment of KPU.
And also check out the threads and search KPU here on lymenet.
Take this info to your LLMD.
Good luck, lp
