So I live in southern indiana, am on doxy, have had muscle aches and twitches for almost a year, into week 3 of treatment so far but anyhow. I have seen (2) Lonestar ticks here in southern indiana, (I walk around in the woods a lot) on me in the past week along with the standard dog ticks and a lot of baby ticks. Never seen them before, or maybe never noticed them... I believe I have STARI anyhow (southern tick associated rash illness) And even tho they say they don't know if it can be chronic or not, I have had whatever it is for almost a year. So I guess it can be chronic.
Is there a certain drug that works best on STARI? I am on doxy 400MG a day right now, weight 105. It doesnt seem to be doing anything good or bad yet. thanks

You do not live that far from me. If you go out into the woods you may not ever see the nymphs.
Unless you get in a cloud of them that moves-then you see them. Are you doing something to prevent
yeast and a probiotic? Some people do not experience the herxes immediately.

I think you need to list all your symptoms as you might be co infected and I've read (which means its not true in all cases) to treat the co infections first.
I'm not a DR just a parent learning to help my daughter so take this knowing I'm ignorant.
Doxy is good for Ehrlichia & the spiral form of bb.
If you have Bart you have to treat 1st over Babs as the Lexofioxacin is not as effective if one has used Mepron.
If you have Babs the treatment is Mepron and Zithromax (can be others but Mepron breaks a wall the babesiosis creates in the blood cell).
Zith is good for the non cell borrelia (lyme has 3 forms, spiral, non cell and cyst).
Best is to start reading Dr. Burrascano's Advanced Topics in Lyme Disease.
Also start a diary.

yeah taking nystatin and probiotics.(per doctor) Symptoms are muscle aches and twitches basically. Also a positive IGM that obviously points to lyme (IGeneX) either the midwest or northeast species) (their test is for both from what I understand) Very rarely I have a sudden rapid heartbeat, odd chest pain that goes away after a while, and abdominal pain of unknown cause. (this happens a few times a month)
