will have been on mepron for 6 months at my next appt in July......my LLMD said she will probably take me off it then.....they only usually like to do mepron for 6 months......does that sound right????

It depends if it seems to be helping you or not. Some people take it for a year or more.
I only did it for 5 months because I seemed to be getting worse on it, not better.
If it seems to be helping and you have reason to believe the babesia is still there (aka there is more to kill off), might as well stay on it if it's not affecting you adversely.
If you feel like it's doing you no good or it's hurting you, I'd go off.
Six months is a good enough run that you probably would have seen at least a hint of progress if it was gonna be a helpful drug for you. But if it's still helping, you should stay on it.
Remember, I am not a doctor...this is my experience as a patient.
