Hi all,
I have a few questions about contrast MRI.

I have chemical sensitivities. Has anyone else with MCS ever done the contrast they use in brain MRIs (gadolinium) and have you had adverse effects?

Has anyone had lesions in the right or left temporal lobes, or any other findings in those areas? If so, what are your TBDs? (Lyme, bart, babs?) And what are your brain-related symptoms?

Has anyone had cerebral atrophy on MRI? On whats parts of the brain?

Has anyone had signs of a stroke that showed up on MRI? What were your symptoms/TBDs?

Thanks!!!!

at times i have mcs

it all depends...sometimes i can tolerate soaps or perfumes if everything else is ok-no mold or pollen...what ever

sometimes i can't ...so it changes minutes to minut with me depending what i am exposed to

i have had the contast done more than once and been ok. always scared something will happen tho-and more than once have put off the test just cuz i had a feeling i wasn't ok

i don't think my brain mri showed anything-the brain spect did-and other mris have shown lots of ortho problems

I got MCS after many MRIs and also electric sensitivities. Would not do MRIs again.
The gadolinium is toxic

They found dots, small and large but I think strokes only show up when they did big damage.
You say
"had lesions in the right or left temporal lobes"
not exactly the same but small vessel bleeding.

The MRI was not helpful at all and in the end with many findings they called it a normal MRI.

I had frontal lobe atrophy show up on two separate MRI's.

Thanks for the data on the contrast!

Best,

Cass A

Oh--didn't answer your other questions. I've got plenty of brain-related symptoms--very poor memory, brain fog, can't think well, trouble finding words, trouble speaking sometimes, confusion about where I am, trouble with simple math, low persistence on mental tasks, can't study profitably anymore.

I also have seizures, which have gotten more frequent this year, and am now on an anti-seizure drug. Ugh.

I had babesia also, and was treated with Mepron/Zith for almost a year.

I have been on the Allergie-Immun program for over a year, and have been doing lots of detoxing of various kinds--chlorella, IV chellation, ionic footbaths, and others.

Best,

Cass A
