I've read some good things on the enzyme Serrapeptase regarding Sinusitis and other benefits. Most studies I've read were conducted with the subject taking 30mg of Serrapeptase over the course of a couple months. I haven't been able to find it in less than 20,000IU or 500mg.

Anyone use this supplement, and had good results? What brand are using and how did it help you?

Another Q, excerpt from a Serrapeptase article online:

"I shopped around on the Internet and I believe I found one of the best sources out there (Listed Below). The potency is high and it is an enteric coated TABLET which means that you will get the greatest amount of absorption. Serrapeptase in a CAPSULE (clear coated type capsule or veggie capsule) has only about 50% absorption so you have wasted half of your money if you purchase it in a CAPSULE form." - http://evidenceofhealing.blogspot.com/2005/10/serrapeptase-relieve-pain-_114066685875513592.html

True?

When I began reading at LymeNet, I realized that reducing inflammation would help reduce symptoms.

Someone posted that she had been listening to the radio, and heard something about a supplement that came from silkworms and helped arthritis pain, but she didn't get the name of it.
I googled for silkworms and arthritis, and eventually found Serrapeptase.

The research information that I could find was mostly out of Europe.
I ordered some and tried it.
BTW, they don't use silkworms anymore to manufacture the Serrapeptase.

The Serrapeptase didn't seem to do anything for my joint pain.
Other people were posting about the enzymes that their LLMD's were prescribing, and I tried a couple of those.

I finally tried Wobenzym, a blend of systemic enzymes.
Within two weeks I had results -- my constant headache decreased.
I no longer woke every day with a splitting headache.

When other people wrote about their sinus infections, I referred them to the information about Serrapeptase.
Several people tried it and reported back good results.

Wobenzym is an enteric coated tablet that you take on an empty stomach.
It passes through to the intestines, where about 25% is absorbed, from what I remember reading.

I have continued to take Wobenzym for several years now.
When I switched from the Mucos brand, made in Germany, to the Garden of Life brand, I had increasing body pain and headache.
I was able to get the Mucos Wobenzym again, and my symptoms decreased.

Good luck with trying Serrapeptase for your sinus problems.
iHerb.com carries this. http://www.iherb.com/Serrapeptase
Look at the reviews, people are getting good results.
