HI all:
I finally did my metals test: had to take three capsules of (i think) DSMO. About an hour after taking it I felt awful: the old neuropathic pain and fatigue. I am not sure what DMSO is (actually it could have been something else: I may have misread the envelope they came in) and wondered if it could have caused the symptoms.

I assume you mean DMSA and NOT DMSO. In some people, it's possible that you mobilized just enough metal from the challenge to release some metals which then you reacted to.

That would certainly fit: what is DMSA?

Now that I know it is DMSA I have googled it and it is in fact a chelation agent: found accounts by a couple of people who had bad reactions. Does this mean that metal chelation might be a good thing for me?

I took DMSA b/f doing heavy metal urine test. I got an asthma attack so bad thought I was going to have to go to ER. They are assuming I am allergic to sulpha drugs. I hadn't had an asthma attack in years.
