I was on Levaquin for 12 weeks, it's in the same family but stronger.

I'm on the Cipro for Myco, Bart and Klebsiella. For the Myco specifically, the Myco guidelines (Garth Nicholson's) aren't clear how long one can stay on Cipro. It says treatment is typically 9 mos. to over a year and says Doxy and Cipro are the top 2 choices (not together), however it's not clear if you can stay on Cipro that whole time. My doc seems uneasy about staying on a quinolone longer than a month.
