Does anyone know any natural treatments for C Diff besides Flagyl and Vanco?
I'm curently on Vanco which is helping tremendously. What I notice is as soon as I get off abx symptoms return.
I saw Wild Condor's protocol and may need to try that.
Obviously I'd like to make sure I completely wipe this thing out and wondered if any natural treatments were available?

Lactobacillus rhamnosus and Saccharomyces boulardi are said to help, i think.
You could try a rife machine on the following frequencies, in Hertzes, :
387 635 673 Those are all in Hertzes, ie, low-level, very slow radio waves.
I'm very CURIOUS to know if those frex have any effect! Please tell me if they do or don't work.
I found them in the CAFL list, a list of collected rife frequencies. If it's on the list, it means someone somewhere reported those frequencies as having some effect against clostridium difficile.

Fecal infusions are natural and effective.
Also, you might try rifampin with vanco. Vanco alone did not help me, but paired with rifampin was the answer.

I beat it (finally) with bentonite clay -- I started with just the bentonite, and then added psyllium fiber when I could tolerate it and detox herbs. Also LOTS of probiotics!

Here are Dr. K"s recent lecture notes relating to C-Diff:
C-Diff - Lyme and Autism co-infection. Most overlooked co-infection by LLMD's.
The treatment is "super-natent"...a probiotic.
Recommends Bioimmersion as having the best probiotic line.
Super-natent is actually a "biofilm" that has anti bacterial and anti viral properties.
Dr. K says this is the most effective treatment he has seen for C-Diff.
I did not get any more in my notes...but I would research this if you have C-Diff...as he says more will come out on this in the future.

Here is an article listing suggested herbs.
A combo of -- oregano and olive leaf. Other suggested herbs include -- Da Qing Ye (Isatis tinctoria leaf), Ban Lan Gen, or Bai Tou Weng. Have not looked up the last 2 Chinese herbs so have no idea what the common names are.
This is a very long 16 page article -- the first 10 pages deal with MRSA and the last 6 pages with c. diff -- includes all the scientific references for the listed herbs -- but no doses listed.

Does everyone who has C-Diff get diarrhea? I was on bicillin shots and started getting pain below my belly with lots of gas. Also lots of rumbling in the right lower quadrant. Never had diarrhea. Well, maybe one day of loose stools. Am now still very sensitive when I eat in the morning (nausea), and waking with pain below belly every night.
Tried Xifaxin, and am on Alinia but it has only helped with my stools (now the food looks like it is getting absorbed). Can't figure out what this burning pain is below my belly. CT scan normal, c-diff culture was negative and GI Dr. did not think C-Diff because no diarrhea.

C-diff does not necessarily cause diarrhea.
Per Dr. K.: Many labs won't find it even though it is present.

I bugged my LD so much about parasites, he finally sent me to a specialist in NYC. For some reason he also tested for c-diff. And yes, you can be asymtomatic.
I was on flagyl, still tested positive. Now on Vanco. It's getting in the way of my treatment.

Well, I think there is a lot of debate about whether c diff is dangerous if you have no symptoms. Per a nurse and a seperate Dr I saw 25% of the population has c diff but don't have symptoms and don't treat it.
But, it sounds like c diff symptoms to me. Lots of abdominal pain, gas, bloating, these are all symptoms. I ususally have this with soft stool but don't have diarhea until it gets bad.
oh, and the stench is hard to miss.
