- It's important to read the book first. You might be able to borrow one from someone in your area support group. You doctor will likely be very knowledgeable about this, too. Most LLMDs are, and it's good to ask his advice about it as pertaining to your particular case. -

Zhang's protocol is Modern Chinese Medicine.
Stephen Buhner is an herbalist.
Zhang uses Allicin to kill bacteria, or Coptis. Buhner uses Cat's Claw to strengthen the white cells to phage the bacteria, and other herbs to kill bacteria.
Zhang has formulated some excellent blends for the liver, the immune system, sleep, etc. His products are sold through Hepapro.
From what I understand, people have healed from hepatitis with his protocol for that.
