Hi all:

So...I'm on my second day of my 1000 mg Flagyl pulse. Ug.

Anyway...Day 9 of treatment and overall I"m okay. One thing I was thinking about today is how my symptoms have evolved over time even before I got treatment. I was just wondering if this was normal as I'm much better now than I was in March yet I really didn't start treatment until a week ago. How do I feel better before proper treatment began?

For example..here is a history of my symptoms:

February: Periods of dizziness..not vertigo. more like a drunk feeling like I was "on something." Chills. Sweats. Flushing. Cold Hands. Cold Feet. Malaise. Heartburn. Fatigue. Burping. Symptoms would come and go throughout the day.

March: Saw Chiropractor. Dizziness more constant. Full Ears, ringing ears, drunk vision, wobbly legs, feeling very heavy at times. Nausea at times. Fast heart rate. Fatigue. Anxiety. Depression. Diagnosed with Labyrinthitis and Anxiety. Started Prozac. Random muscle aches now and then, usually in legs / back.

April: Did 10 days of Amoxy April 1-10. Balance is better, vision is better. Still have sweats and anxiety, although better. Fatigue / chills occasionally. Still have full ears that ring.

May: Diagnosed with Lyme on 5/3. Started treatment on 5/10. Today...balance is significantly better. Vision is significantly better. Fatigue is significantly better. Sweating has stopped. Anxiety is better. Depression is better. Muscle aches, ear fullness, ear ringing still there. Definitely not 100%, but certainly much better than March / April.

What's funny is how my symptoms were terrible in March / April but were much better by early May, even before I started proper Lyme treatment. I'm not sure if that was because the Lyme gave me Labyrinthitis in March which I am now getting over, or if somehow the initial 10 days of Amoxy helped. Or was a portion of it really stress / adrenal fatigue and the Prozac has helped?

I just thought it was wierd how my symptoms have subsided a bit even before starting treatment. Is this common?

My symptoms varied before treatment which is why I never connected them as being the same illness. Lyme cycles, waxing and waning every 28 days which also affects the way you feel. Presently I feel pretty good and could pronounce myself cured except this has happened twice before, so I should know better. . . .
