I am not focusing on my adrenal and thyroid health

ANynoe with ideas I would so appreciate it.

I am on supplements and nutrients my Homeopathic Integrative doc has me on but would love to hear any other ideas.

Also on Synthroid .05

I am reading and reseraching.

Mornings are the worst for me like many. Big time.
I am trying to take some advice I read that says to get up no matter what and take 20 minute naps as needed instead of sleeping in.

I have noticed I want to sleep in and have for years slept upt til noon or later and up in the PM til very late.

I used to be up late due to the fact my energy was surging and I had insomnia bad. My insomnia has gotten much better so I am hoping to try to switch the pattern.

THis is very difficult.

Any other ideas that people have done or used so much appreciated.

I think EVERY Night. IF ever day could feel like "THIS" I would be so happy.

I know there is a key there somewhere and that would be such a miracle for me and I am thinking many other could feel much better no matter what stage of the game your in.

I know when I was at my sickest I still was so much worse in the AM by far. Now it is just less worse but I am better overall.

But its still the same difference.

Maybe together we can figure this one out.??

Anyone else have this same situation or feeling? I have read a ton of people who do and are. Just maybe this has been something I can change but just have not really been able to up to this point.

My docs have tried me on hydrocortisol sp and testonsterone (as I was low) but the sublinguals shot my levele through the roof in one month so we stopped them.

THANKS for any ideas

Amazon has several good books on adrenal function. Your library may have some of those. I think it would be impossible to figure this out just from posts as so much ground is covered in the books and in articles. It takes a lot of reading.

I hope you can get one or more of those and then work with your doctor to figure out the best way for you. It varies from one person to the next, for sure.

canefan17 has posted before what help her/him:

Adaptocrine K2

Adrenal Stim & Adrenal Calm creams
Vit C with bioflavanoids (2000mg/day)
Pantothenic acid B5 (1000mg/day)

split up all throughout the day.

Creams:

Adrenal Stim 9am-12-3pm
Adrenal Calm 9am-12-6pm

For thyroid I just started Med Caps T3 (helps with conversion of T4 to T3) (Kelp)

Dr.K has success with patients who have thyroid problems/hashimotos, with SSKI. Used in an inhaler. "Omron" inhaler nebulizer.

SSKI=Successed Solution Potasium(k)Iodide

(it has to be IODIDE...not iodine!) Iodine is not good long term...the Iodide is what works!

Triquence by "Scientific Botanicals" is a SSKI

This is a biofilm breaker of mold!

If you inhale it and have a long lasting metalic taste with it, you are mobilizing metals...so you need loads of chlorella with this!

HOshimoto's = electro smog + mold + KPU

all three issues need to be addressed/treated for thyroid/hoshimotos.

This condition is a condition that can lead to alzheimers.

For sleep, Dr. K's recommendation:
silica rubbed on soles of feet before bed
Bio-sil brand from Belgium has great absorption.

OR lavender rubbed on soles of feet

Horsetail grass tea

triptophan
melatonin
ashwaganda...all recommended for sleep.

see what works for you.

pleasant dreams!
lp

Toxicity can cause this:

Dr. K"s clinical and testing findings: Some metals, and " mercury", have affinity for the glands.

Metal dental amalgam vapor, stored in the brain...pituitary.

Mercury changes to methyl mercury by the bowel microbes...the methyl mercury gets stored in the Thalmus, pituitary, and hypothalamus.

Causes many disruptions, and specifically thyroid disorders.

Barium and Aluminum salts are hidden in many things like the drinking water supply...and are in the environment...ie. nanonized metals particles ...we breath this in airiplane air!

Thiomersol...(mercury), is in nasal sprays...not labeled!!! Srayed right up the nose!

All this affects thyroid/adrenals.

the most damaged are the astrocytes/astroglia ...causing brain fog and no sleep...These are the first damaged brain cells when toxic metals circulate in the blood through the brain. they fail their job of protecting the blood brain barrier. Hence..no brain protection.

Detoxing correctly, and replacing minerals...displaces the bad metals....and helps all function better. This takes time to heal as you detox.

Thanks for Dr. Ks perspective, lightparfait. Some of us just can't be his patients due to location, finances, etc.

I've been taking iodine for thyroid. Many people are deficient. I haven't checked my temperature lately but it was normal for a week or two after many years of being pretty low.

I was taking the iodine for a month or 2 before I noticed that my temp was normal. I really didn't think it was possible... I don't think I have a very serious issue with my thyroid, though. I'm not sure this would work for everyone.

FYI - http://cypress.he.net/~bigmacnc/drflechas/iodine.htm

I've been taking Jarrow's Adrenal Optimizer but it was out of stock for a while. I switched to Solaray Adrenal Success.

Yes, I do feel awful in the AM. I was always a "night owl"... I don't know why some people are like this. There are some recent studies that this is not necessarily an illness or something pathogenic. Some people may just function better at night.

I do have insomnia, lately. It is inconvenient but I'm going through something with artemesia right now. Maybe be a herx or something...? So, I'm trying not to stress to much about being up all night. I don't have a 9-5 - so, I can live with it.

I think not getting enough sunlight, being in artificially lit environments, starting into a computer, TV, etc. is not helpful - but it's modern life...

re: Barium and Aluminum salts are hidden in many things like the drinking water supply...and are in the environment...ie. nanonized metals particles ...we breath this in airiplane air!

The chemtrails definitely don't help, either. Not to mention HAARP, EMF & all of that.

I sense your irritation but I think that what people get frustrated about is that those supplements you keep posting about are not available for us to buy outright and have to find a doctor who uses them through their practice.

I do not think anyone is accusing you of selling them. But when we go to that link it is a dead end for us unless again we find a doctor and then get an appt and ask for them to use those supplements.

That makes it a bit difficult and a lot to ask to have such high faith in one or two supplement brands to actually hunt down and pay for a doctor who prescribes them from their office.

That is my understanding of the brands you keep posting about.

My doctor is using what he feels is top of the line products that come from various suppliers and brands depending on what he is trying to accomplish. I am getting what I feel are great supplements.

They may be as good or not what your posting but I would again have to change doctors to even try them.

IS what I am interpreting here correct? IF not please correct me.

I have seen you post so many times in a hesitant way to give your opinion as if your not welcome.. But that is not how I see it.. And it is about this supplement issue and how we are supposed to take your advice and what we have to do to do that is not easy or even logical for most.

THanks Much..

I appreciate your insight and your posts and your ideas. Even if I do not go to a doctor who uses those brands and therefore I am not using them.

But the concepts are good and sometimes another brand that does that same thing is very workable.

And where are meds from ?

Have to get a prescription from an MD or DO ?
Have to buy the drugs from a pharmacy ?

What then is the difference ? Specifically ?

There is no way you have to go to a new doc !
Ask your doc to order them for you. All it takes is a phone call.

I do get annoyed that I am accused of getting some $$$ from sales of what I recommend.
How would you feel if you were falsely accused ?

I am not being antagonistic, just would like the above questions answered please.

It was reported at his recent lecture...that most over the counter nasal sprays have it...in nanonized form...too small of an amount to be required to put on the label...kind of like the amount in vaccines, that we are told is too small of an amount to do harm?

but for those already immuno compromised and for those who already have a toxic brew...what amount is too small? any amount in my book is too much!

He recommended a product at whole foods...called xylatol nasal spray...that has no mercury.

Sparkle...No one has to be his patient to get the benefit...(I am not his patient) you can order the products yourself...and see another practitioner...just print out his published protocols and get tested elsewhere...he has a wealth of info to share with all for free.

Also, at the recent conference, he emphasized that IODINE is not the way to go for the thyroid issues...there are risks...ITS IODIDE that works...a different variety that works wonders.

best wishes..

I am sorry if that happened to you. I had not witnessed such accusations.

So your saying my doctor can call up and order those brands you are suggesting? Even if he is not a carrier or bought into them?

I would love to have this clarified if you already do know.

THanks

About you being accused. You would have to ask those who have accused you? I am sorry I cant answer that one and I am not sure who or when that all happpened.

Maybe someone will step forward and address it with you..

LOL as I looked at the sites.
One product line listed is Standard Process, which I have used + had etensive training in since 1993.

One of the books I recommend, "The Real Truth About Vitamins and Antioidants" is about Standard Process and the fact that most vitamins are synthetic fractions.

An example of that - natural vitamin E is a complex of natural factors always found together. A loaf of fresh baked organic whole wheat bread has 2 or 3 international units - IU - in it.

Most vitamin E supps have 400 IU of one or a few parts of true E. Fractions of E. You would have to eat 175 loaves of bread to get this many fractionated units. Is that what you eat for one day ?

These high dose fractions can stimulate but cannot actually heal as the complete complex can.

As most vitamins are made + sold by BigPharma, they don't want you to heal, IMO they want you to keep buying.

The iodine I'm taking is mixed with sodium iodide (as per Dr. Hulda Clark). I'm not sure what the exact percentages are. It's a modified Lugols iodine. I bought it a while ago & I think I researched it back then. I just take 1 drop every few days or so.

I think it did work to get my AM temperature in the normal range.

It's great that Dr. K posts his thoughts & idea about Lyme treatments. Some of his products are a bit on the pricey side. I try to look for less expensive versions. I know it may not be optimal but what can you do? I'm living in low budget land these days...

BTW - natropathic medicine is illegal in the state I reside. Doctors who practice this form of medicine can get jail time & a $500 fine. I'm not sure how much it's actually enforced but it is an issue.

I do approve. I am very concerned that people really understand the differences in supplements.
There seems to be little real interest in that.

How about asking your doc for the book I mentioned ? Perhaps he can let you borrow it. The Standard Process rep should have a copy the doc can borrow. That is what the SP reps in OH did when I was there.

And the creams - my eperience shows that transdermal (on skin) creams are released in bursts. That means stored in fat just under the skin then poof lots in then boom none going in. It alternates like that so off on off on etc.

A steady release is better. With female hormones as an example sublinguals are better. They are put under the tounge and go directly into the blood, bypassing the stomach and the fat under the skin.

When I knew I had Adrenal Fatigue I researched it and did the following:

- Made sure I was out of bed by 9:00 am
- Ate something before 10:00 am
- Ate regular during the day - it was difficult for me to eat in the am.

It took only a day or two to turn this around - and I had the AD for over a year (ie fatiged all day. Couldn't get up until 11:00 or noon. Had a super "second wind" from 11:00 pm to 2:00 pm and couldn't go to sleep.)

'showers, you're about to start PSP, right? AI says that the tx can resolve thyroid problems and from the looks of your dosage, you might very well respond to the tx. Are you able to stop taking Synthroid while on PSP?

Adrenals, I don't know about (if PSP will resolve), but if you're tired now, prepare yourself... The first couple of rounds of PSP might have you sleeping quite a lot.

Best of success.

Agree with massman about the bios. I use a troche, 1/2 every 12 hrs. if I can (pharmacy cuts them in 1/2). Put in your cheek and let it melt. Mine are estridiol, testosterone, and prgesterone.

Just had extensive saliva testing (for adrenals etc.), then will make an appoint with the pharmacist to see if they can help (have severe insomnia and take a ton of meds to sleep a few hrs).

Keeping my fingers crossed on this one.

Thanks

I do have some items in Sublingual. Its a good point about being more educated on supplements and the quality and differences etc.

I am not sure I am ready for AI but am getting the first test to evaluate. I have heard of people being so tired on those drops yeah and I heard its hard.

I am surprised Mojo you fixed yours in a few days? I have tried those techiques and did did not work.

I think there is something else going on too. I got so sleep feeling ok most nights. And I even do not have that bad of insomnia anymore compared to before.

But the first time I get up to go to the bathroom (and I have to go a few times a night) SO I know I was sleeping about two or three hours. I feel like a truck hit me.

SO whats the deal? What is it that within just a couple hours of sleeping I feel so fatigued and yucky and my pain is worse too..

IF I could resolve this I would be so happy. This has been going on the whole time I have been ill but I was so sick all the time anyway that I was not able to kinda isolate it like I can now.

So anyone with ideas of how this is happening. Even if I take a nap this happens. I sometimes feel like one but am afraid to fall asleep of fear of how I will feel when I wake up. It is really bad. Not just a subtle difference.

Yes... I have the same thing (pain in am). If I stay up all night - I feel the pain coming on about 3-4 am. It actually keeps me awake or it can wake me up if I'm sleeping. I usually take 1/2 a vicodin before I go to sleep but after some time they wear off.

I hate that "hit by a truck" feeling. I used to think it was a "pavlovian thing" about going to sleep. I couldn't sleep because I knew I was going to feel awful when I woke up. I just think the pain is worse in the am time for some reason. That's what keeps me awake.

I took some sleep meds for a while but I don't like to take drugs if I can avoid it. I discovered it's really the pain that keeps me up. Lately, my sleep schedule is all out of whack, too.

I don't know if it's an adrenal issue or something else. Might be something about how this illness effects the brain chemistry...? Maybe if I had more discipline about getting up & going to bed...? After a while - it's hard to keep having so much discipline about everything. Especially, with the pain all of the time.

I started artemesia a couple of months ago & my pain & malaise have gotten worse. So, I'm not pushing myself too much right now.

I tried the bio-identical hormones. I didn't care for them. I didn't feel they were all that effective. I think there is controversy about them & whether they may be harmful. I decided to go with the herbs for hormone balance rather than the bio-identical creams.

I'm taking a Female Hormone combo by Solaray. It seems to be helpful but it's hard to tell since I have other stuff going on right now.

Bio-identical is a big money maker for the pharmacies... Once you start them - you have to keep using them. And they usually are fairly expensive. Not huge but enough to be annoying.

I was taking bio-identical pills for thyroid. I got alot more results from the iodine. Everyone is different.

Interesting about the sub-lingual approach... I need to research the adrenal issue further. I haven't done alot of testing for it. There are several good books on the internet.

It all gets so complicated thinking about every base you have to cover with this illness. Hopefully, we'll all get through it & this will all be a memory.

Thanks SParkle

I know that many feel worse and pain coming on at night. I though am not sure that is the same thing as I am talking about.

But even if I take a nap in the day and no matter what I feel like when I go to sleep. In a couple hours or even one hour of sleep It all hits me.

I started another thread because Ijust do not know if this is related to Adrenal and thyrioid issues and I do not know what it is.

It is on things i really want to figure out. I will be getting my doctors on board and be adimate I want to figure this out.

It sure could help a lot of us to not have to endure that extra suffering..

Thank you everyone for sharing...very helpful. The WomentoWomen link was informative 17 hens.

This simple exercise will help stimulate the adrenals naturally.

Do this for about 30 seconds daily.

"Massage" your belly about 1 inch above your belly button and about 4 inches apart.

You can use one hand. So if you're right handed--separate your thumb and fingers like you're going to pick up something. Place your thumb to the right of the belly button (one inch up from belly button) and your four fingers to the left of the belly button so that your thumb and fingers are about 4 inches apart.

Massage (almost like you're tickling yourself) with your thumb on your right side and mostly the underside of the middle finger on the left side.

Or you can do this using both hands. Put your fingers, palm side down, in the correct position (1 inch above belly button, 2 inches on either side of the belly button) and mostly using the underside of the middle fingers massage the area.

You don't have to push real hard. Don't push in a way that it hurts. Use a circular motion.

(Is that clear as mud?! [Eek!] Maybe there is something on YouTube.)

Do I need to add a disclaimer? Do not take this as medical advice, this is just one more thing I've learned along this journey.

*I learned this from one of the doctors at the Hansa Center.

Thanks for the Idea Daisy
Been doing some of the massage to stimulate adrenals and it gave me the idea too to use my rife Ray tubs on the area and use Adrenal numbers too.

So we will see. : )

Hello
It dawned on me.. It was a year and a half or so ago that I did the Salt C therapy for a few months.

I now remember that my sleep patterns really changed and improved.

I recall talking about it and people mentioning that that salt helps the adrenals.

I wonder if this is true and I may do the treatment again and see if I can see improvement at all in that area.

At the same time it will and can help keep bugs at bay or kill some that might be still around
