If you want to try something to curb biofilm: source naturals has a GSE product, about 10 drops in water and gargling morning and evening (also swallow after gargling) prior to brushing your teeth. Then get some triphala, one of the constituents is terminalia chebula, a 17 year old girl proved its efficacy to biofilms. Why, her -- she is the first one to cheaply create biofilms in culture and good test many herbs to see which ones had an effect. The herb terminalia chebulla or haritaki was the substance with the greatest efficacy.
I would also add oil pulling twice a day for about 12 minutes.
My logic:
oil pulling exercises natural the tmj, it also draws out many pathogens in the process. Also it is a great detoxifier. And it strenghens tissues in the mouth.
GSE to kill candida / yeast in the mouth
Triphala -- get it as a powder and get use to the taste. It is wonderful product, but not everyone does well with it. If you see the energetic tester using ART, see if they test well for you. Or go to the health food store, get some triphala, in your right hand put it to your thymus. If your body move forward you want it, if it move backwards you don't want it.
Good luck...

I can tell you that my jaw issues have pretty much resolved on treatment (so far I've done just doxy), but my jaw issues had just started a couple weeks before starting treatment.
I'm starting PT on Monday to see if this helps "clear out" the bacteria in those areas and help me heal.
I find a lot of relief from the pain through cranial sacral therapy, but I can't say that has helped "cure" the underlying issue.

I'm in the same boat as you plus a few extra nagging symptoms.
I did oil pulling for 3 months and it killed my TMJ. I couldn't hold it for more than a couple minutes.
I've been dealing with TMJ pain for more that 20 years and my lyme treatment hasn't helped in the neck and jaw areas, but has some in my lower back.
I do agree that cranial/sacral therapy has helped alot. Make sure you see a Osteopathic Dr. and not a massage therapist who says they know.
Also make sure you have a good bed that you enjoy sleeping in and don't sleep on your belly as this can aggervate TMJ and neck issues. I'm still trying to break the bad habit.
Feel better soon.

Oil pulling or any treatment doesn't work for everyone. You try it and see if it helps. It did for me. Same thing with triphala, six couldn't use it, but could use haritaki by itself. It was extremely valuable for her toward getting well. There are no guarantees in treatment.

I'd like to add that I, at least. have made the error of attributing most everything wrong in my body to lyme and co. My aching neck and back, for example. Turns out i have pinched nerves, bulging disks, stenosis, etc.
Good physical therapy ( and some oral steroids) has made a world of difference. I still have other symptoms that are disease related, but had I continued with my previous assumptions about my back and neck, I am not sure where I'd be.
The added exercise and support in correcting and strengthening my body in general has also helped with my overall health.
So perhaps this is not true for you, but I just wanted to remind everyone to consider all avenues. Kris
