My symptoms, test results and research over the last 5 years since onset suggest Lyme disease. However, I wonder if I am on the right track. Maybe somone can tell me. Symptoms: About 5 years ago, I started having partial numbness/tingling in the 2 small fingers of my left hand. These two fingers also get cold easily. Those symptoms are constant and have been since onset. Two years later, I started having similar symptoms in my left leg. The symptoms in the leg were erratic at first but then settled in and are constant now. The leg is also weaker than it used to be. Exercise makes the leg symptoms stronger. Tests/Results: I have had MRIs from head to toe, X-Rays head to toe, leg and arm EMGs extensive blood work including two Lyme tests, physical therapy, cubital tunnel surgery for my arm symptoms. The only signicant results are left arm nerve damage shown in the arm EMG, no nerve damage in leg EMG, slightly low lactate blood result, Epstein-Barr results EBV EA=D AB 0.99 (high), EBV EBNA AB > 5.0 (high), EBV VCA AB > 5.0 (high) brain MRI showed 2 areas of whiteness in frontal lobe. The neurologist at Cleveland Clinic call the white areas on the MRI of no significance. My pcp called the Epsteien-Barr virus results insignificant and possibly from a previous infection. I did have mono when I was a teenager - a long time ago. Note that both lyme blood tests were negative.

It's an excellent booklet on tick disease & the symptoms
Lyme tests are notoriously inaccurate. It also depends on the test. Most main stream doctors (Cleveland Clinic) only do the ELISA test which misses up to 65% of infected people.
The green booklet explains this stuff.
