XMRV is thought to be a retrovirus, in some ways similar to HIV but more closely related to something else.

At one time they thought it was a blood borne illness transmitted the same as HIV but are now thinking it can be transmitted by ticks, mosquitos, gnats and the like.

My LLMD gave me this website last week. The Whittemore Peterson Institute. This is a research lab in Reno, NV that is making leaps and bounds into XMRV research. It will tell you more than I can, yet they are probably a bit behind because just in the last week they've learned even more about it. My LLMD knows the researchers and doctors here personally and speaks to them on a daily or at least weekly basis.

Oh - don't pay any attention to those English studies that claim it's non-existent. Those were done by people in the world of psychology and they used a test that doesn't pick up anything. They don't want to find XMRV as it would decrease their patient load. Their study is being funded by money from the English government.

It's easy to google terms. It's far to long to spell out and the first world is just too hard. With energy at a minimum and hands that are wretched in pain, most of the time, it's all we can do to get the basics down. Then the reader can Google for terms they don't know.

" Xenotropic murine leukemia virus-related virus (XMRV) is a gammaretrovirus that was first described in 2006. "
