Biaxin is one of the brands and is often paired with Plaquenil. The combo hits both cystic and spirochete forms of lyme.

Biaxin is one of my favorites, though you may not see noticeable results until you step your dose up a notch and then add in another med.

Good luck.

FYI--some people don't like the taste of Biaxin. It never bothered me though.

Many get stomach upset and nausea on Biaxin, but it caused no problems for me. Sounds like you're off to a good start.

I just switched from Doxy / Flagyl to Biaxin (1000mg / day), Amantadine (200mg / day) and Flagyl (1000 mg pulse 3 days every 2 weeks.)

Supposedly the amantadine targets the Bb in the cell walls.

Only on day 2 of this new combo. Feels a bit weird so far.
