I've seen a couple threads regarding this and my husband's toxic metal results came back from Doctrs Data as elevated for Lead and very elevated for Mercury.

This set us off on a mad pursuit as to why, how, etc. He is trying to treat his Lyme, been to 4 LLMD's, he had pancreatitis 4 times, and now this??

Anyway, as soon as I googled Doctors Data.. this is what I found.
http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/Tests/urine_toxic.html

Now I am starting to wonder.... went to Dr. H NY left with $450 in supplements, when pancreatitis came again after 2 weeks taking his 56 pills per day, we stopped ABX and they mailed us a box of Cowden protocol herbs and charged my card $200..
now a form letter with these results saying we will discuss treatment options at our next visit.

Doctors Data doesn't take insurance either?

I don't know.. his last hospital stay, the Infectious Disease doctor was consulted and started screaming at us about the LLMD's and how they are phonies and just ripping people off, they take advantage of sick people and he doesn't have Lyme!!

Hummm... can't help but wonder..

Uh oh, that's scary. That's the doc I'm considering so strongly. $450 in supplements? OMG. I cannot afford that at all. [Frown] I pray that's not the norm. That was for ONE visit? I personally believe no one should have to take 50+ pills a day.

I personally don't trust Doctor's Data one bit, but others disagree. I don't trust Quackwatch one bit either though. Oh and I don't trust most Infectious Disease doctors. If someone 'screamed' at me in the hospital, I'd go tell them to F### themselves.

I do believe it is cell damage and can happen in a

lot of chronic illness'. Autism for one.

You may be able to find a lot more info on treatment strategies there.

This families story was posted fairly recent.

Dr. H does have those supps available, but he doesn't require you purchase them from him. If you can't afford them, you can ask him to prioritize them so you know which are more important.

This sheds light on Quackwatch's reliability - http://www.canlyme.com/quackwatch.html

I FELT MUCH better after heavy metal treatment!!!! And it made ALL the difference with my daughter, too.

I had 3x highest acceptable limit of lead and elevated mercury when I was first sick. Detox saved my life.

Quackwatch, Stephen Barrett, has been convicted in court for being an imposter and a quack himself.

I think he is sponsored by pharmacutical companies.

Everything associated with Lyme is tricky...

Seekhelp - you cracked me up.

I have been though the mill with the Fibromyalgia & Fatigue Center & other so called natropathic doctors recommending huge amounts of supplements & drugs.

I don't think it's healthy to take huge amounts of different things. I take many supplements & herbs but I rotate them. I don't take everything all at once.

Not sure about Doctor's Data but the tests could be inaccurate. Lyme testing in general is inaccurate - so, other testing may as well be inaccurate, too.

The trouble with any metal testing (with exception of Melisa LTT) is that even if you are stuffed full of toxic metals, it is very possible that the tests, Doctor's Data or any other, show little or no metals in the urin or stool. That is because the immune system never did or no longer recognizes these toxins and therefore is unable to release them, even when challenged with a challenging agent. The reaons can be many: biochemical, structural, emotional, etc.

It is possible that you undergo some structural corrections and the test will show more. It is possible that you get some emotional clearing therapy and the metals test will then show more.
There is, unfortunately, no test anywhere in the world that will reveal how much toxic metal remains stored in you - no matter how much the test results show. Higher, lower means little and is just a measure of what comes out by force or on its own in urine. As long as there are symptoms of any kind, there is more somewhere.
Only energetic testing gives us a better idea and guide. Lab testing is not conclusive.

It may take doing the Allergie Immun therapy, as is the case with many who have done it, that they are then able to release the metal toxins along with many others. I am one of them. Even though I dropped enough toxic metals during my treatment under Dr.K. years ago, while under treatment for Lyme, I knew that I had not released all of the metals. AI started to correct the allergies to metals and open the flood gates.

I still had some occasional numbness in my face which I believed was permanent damage due to paralysis in the early Lyme years. And that was the reason I wanted to do the AI.

It can happen, as with others, that parasites surface during metal detox, the strategy needs to be changed or both need to be addressed, because that will bring forth more metals out of hiding because parasites store them in their coat. When parasites give up the ghost, it is possible that more metals will surface and need attention.

As I see it today, toxic metals and chemicals in our world today need attention as long as we live. Or we are not going to live very happily!

When I was first tested with Doctors Data, I had Pre- and Post- provocation tests done.

My pre- test was 18 ( should be <5 ) and my post-DMSA was 79.

That really convinced me, and is probably the ideal way to do it......but you have to pay for 2 tests. Subsequent tests I have only done the post-

I'll bet most think ( Like I did) that mercury is just about the only metal used in dentisty-

Not according to H Clark- just look at the list of metals on your D Datas test result- many of them are used including lead, cadium, thallium- in dentistry -
I researched those metals and they come from industrial factories- I don't remember working at such a job- so it must be so - that these are used by dentists in our cavities- my mercury level is low but lead way elevated. I don't know what to believe sometimes. Look at how many times a campaign promise was broken...eh forgetta bout it.ha ha just being funny.

It's always good to have some suspicion otherwise we'd be total dopes-
Always question, always weigh, always trust your own gut- you have a sense about things- trust yourself- if you have a question try to find the truth.
Never feel guilty about stuff like this - when your sense raises the big question mark- heed your intuition- don't feel guilty- for years we have been made to feel guilty thru political correctness. think about it.
NO MORE GUILT
