So...day 28 of treatment. Overall, I have felt pretty good the past week. Probably the best I have felt in the last 3-4 months. I am encouraged by this as I hope it means I have a good chance of beating this.
I haven't really herxed yet...at least not that I know of. I have had 1 or 2 days where I have been very tired. But otherwise I've been fine.
Today I started a 3 day pulse of 500mg of Flagyl 2x / day. Took my dose at 6 AM. It is now 8 AM and I'm feeling very drunk and off. Is this a flagyl side effect or a herx?
This is the third pulse I have done with FLagyl and didn't get this the last 2 times. I do the flagyl pulse 3 days every 2 weeks. I'm on 400mg of Doxy full time.
Thanks.

Up....
An update for today...still feeling a bit fuzzy. Day 2 of 3 day pulse. I should mention this is the 3rd time I have pulsed flagyl and I have never felt this before. So I don't think it is a side effect.
Yesterday I felt swirly headed, I had a headache (which I rarely have), and I was more fatigued.
All in all, everything was mild. But I wonder if it was a herx as I don't think I've had one yet.

It's hard to tell because from what I read, headaches are a side effect of Flagyl And when I asked my doc about the depressed and dizzy feeling, he said thats most likely the Flagyl since it starts when I go back on it.
I'm 2 weeks on Flagyl and 2 Weeks on Ceftin and Biaxin.
